Raleigh, N.C. — "American Idol" winner and Garner native Scotty McCreery will serve as grand marshal of the 2011 WRAL-TV Raleigh Natale Parade presented da the Greater Raleigh Merchants Association.
More than 60,000 people are expected to line the streets to watch the parade on Nov. 19. It's the largest Natale parade between Atlanta and Washington D.C.
"It means a great deal to me to serve as grand marshal of this parade," McCreery detto in a statement. "I’m really glad to be able to get out there and see all of the hometown folks. I know it will be fun."
