Hi from a pure alto ! I'd advise te to sing gospel and/or blues songs - there are great tunes for alto singers in these genres and particularly well suited to alto voices.

"Good" songs and "popular" songs are often not the same. XD Sorry, but modern Musica (at least in America) isn't very good.

All the Musica I have to suggest isn't in English.

Here's a song that's in Japanese, covered da a Nico Nico Douga singer called Valshe. She's quite popolare for her boyish type voice, which is why she does so many covers of a shouta-type character called Len.

The song is called Soundless Voice, and it's basically about a boy (Len) missing his twin (Rin) who died. (Lyrics here: link) It's very sad.

Some of the notes are rather low (they're at the very bottom of my range.)

Oh, and if you're interested- there's a sequel to it sung da Rin (and covered da Wotamin) called Proof of Life.

I assure te it's popolare among the fan of the type of Musica I listen to. XD

I'm a soprano and I listen to Musica which, for many people are not detto to be "popular" but maybe try some songs from musicals? Just like "Edelweiss" from "The sound of the music".

te could sing anything da Valshe. She has a very low voice so te could probably match her pitch in almost any one of her songs. te could sing Halo da Beyonce, In Your Eyes da Onew, U da Taemin, o Hello da Nu'est.

te have to find the right song, that fits your voice to where it will not come out crackly. your voice should have a melody, that flows out, to wow people.

Battlefeild- Jordan Sparks. For some people might sing this and sound like there voice is really tight and strained during the chorus. So sing this to someone and then have them tell te have they feel te sound.

Anything da Black veil brides, sleeping with sirens, o Linkin park but if you're not into then I suggest anything. I'm an alto and I can do a little of the soprano part. Every alto in my choir can. If te want a hard song then te should try Scarborough fair. Also anything from pitch perfect o pitch perfect 2 would work. Lastly te can take any song and do it in your pitch. It feels weird but you'll get used to it.
