For her 26th birthday, we looked back on all her adorable animal moments.

There is no shortage of Taylor Swift love on the Internet. And there’s certainly no shortage of posts dedicated to Taylor’s hilarious, adorable cats, Olivia and Meredith. We’ve written our fair share. You can Google “Taylor Swift cats” and print out every photo you see with the aim of filling an Olympic-sized swimming pool with them, and you wouldn’t have any photo in there twice. (Probably. We haven’t tested this hypothesis…yet.)

But beyond just her beloved cats, Taylor is a true guardian of all the earth’s tiniest creatures. She’s like a Franciscan friar, roaming the green countrysides of each continent with bread and seeds in her palms, tossing them indiscriminately to animals of every breed. The proof of this is, of course, her Instagram page, which is loaded with hilarious and aww-inspiring pics of Tay interacting with the creatures of the world.

So, to honor Taylor’s animal benevolence on her 26th birthday, we looked back on her 25th year and found all the times she was the friend these creatures needed — even in the face of adversity.
