AVENGERS HEROES: "ANT-MAN" (2015) Review

When Marvel Studios first announced that its new movie about the comic book hero, Ant-Man would be the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) secondo stage, I found myself scratching my head. Why would a solo effort like "ANT-MAN" served as the end of Stage Two? Why not the epic "THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON", which had been released two-and-a-half weeks earlier?

Needless to say, I had no idea what was going through the mind of MCU mostra runner, Kevin Fiege. So, I sat back and watched how he and the filmmakers for "ANT-MAN" would handle this. And I must...

"THE AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR" (2018) Review

After ten years and eighteen films, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) finally released "THE AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR". The movie represented the first half of a culmination of the precedente films that either focused o touched upon the super-villain Thanos' attempt to attain possession of a collection of powerful gems known as the Infinity Stones.

Although 2008's "IRON MAN" signaled the beginning of the MCU franchise and the introduction of the latter's collection of comic book heroes/heroines, supporting players and villains; I believe that the true...

According to the new avengers 2 trailer, everybody seems to be against iron man. I have not seen the movie and obviously nobody has. this is a domanda for anybody who reads this article, why do te think everyone is against iron man?I am confused and sorta mad because iron man is my preferito character, and if they make every avenger against iron man,i don't want to like him as a villian. I know this sounds stupid but,i don't want him to be a villian because it will ruin the whole secondo movie, that i was looking inoltrare, avanti to seeing in movie theaters. when i watched the trailer over again,i realized they were mad at iron man for some robots he created that turned evil. i don't know the cause for this plot, but i guess it is supposed to be interesting. i am hoping it has a happy ending.
"CAPTAIN MARVEL" (2019) Review

For several years, many movie fans, critics and feminists have criticized Disney Studios and Marvel Films for failing to green light a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film that starred a person of color o simply a woman. And for years, producer Kevin Feige have assured these critics that the studio was planning such a film for the franchise. Ironically, it took the plans of a comic book film from another studio for Feige to fulfill his promise.

Sometime in 2014 o 2015, Warner Brothers Studios announced it plans for a solo film featuring one of D.C. Comics' more...

"THOR: RAGNAROK" (2017) Review

Until last fall, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has released three films each for only two of the franchise's characters - Iron Man and (allegedly) Captain America. With the release of "THOR: RAGNAROK", the God of Thunder became the third character to end up with three solo films.

Directed da Taika Waititi, "THOR: RAGNAROK" told the story of Asgardian prince Thor's efforts to prevent the destruction of his world, Asgard, from his aggressive and più powerful sister, Hela. The movie is the franchise's version of a similar story featured in one of the Marvel...

HOW IRON MAN RUINED "CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR" FOR ME

I am so disappointed with Marvel. And I am especially disappointed with its latest entry for the Marvel Cinematic Universe - namely "CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR". I never thought I would be so disappointed with a Captain America film, considering how much I loved "CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER" and especially "CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER".

As for "CIVIL WAR", I found it disappointing. Worse, I left the movie theater feeling unusually angry. And a great deal of my anger was focused on Tony Stark aka Iron Man’s role as the movie’s...

AVENGERS HEROES: "CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR" (2016) Review

One of the più popolare story lines to emerge from Marvel Comics was the 2006 story called "Civil War" in which many comic book characters from the company's franchise battled over a new law designed to have superpowered individuals act under Federal regulation. Kevin Fiege and Marvel Films decided to adapt this story line for the final film in their Captain America trilogy.

"CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR" features some differences from the Marvel Comics comic series. The latter featured the Superhuman Registration Act, which would force...

"THOR: THE DARK WORLD" (2013) Review

As I had stated in my review of "IRON MAN 3", I had assumed that the release of the 2012 blockbuster, "THE AVENGERS" would signal the end of Marvel's multi-film saga about the group of comic book Heroes and their government allies, S.H.I.E.L.D. Not only did "IRON MAN 3" prove me wrong, but also the recente Televisione series, "AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D." and the secondo movie about the God of Thunder, "THOR: THE DARK WORLD".

Like the 2011 movie, "THOR", this latest film begins thousands of years ago. Back in giorno (or year); Bor, the father of Odin, clash with the...

"IRON MAN 3" (2013) Review

One would think after the release of 2012's "THE AVENGERS", Marvel Studios would call it quits on its saga about the team of superheroes who foiled an alien invasion in detto movie. But the "THE AVENGERS" opened the possibility of a new threat to Earth, paving the way for a new slew of stories for the costumed Avengers.

The beginning of this new group of films resulted in the release of "IRON MAN 3", the third movie about the sole adventures of billionaire Tony Stark aka Iron Man. The alien invasion from "THE AVENGERS" had left its mark on Tony. He has become even more...

AVENGERS HEROES: "CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER: (2011) Review

I have been aware of the Marvel Comics hero, Captain America, ever since I was in my early teens. And I might as well say right now that I was never a fan. Captain America? Why on earth would someone like me be interested in some uber patriotic superhero who even dressed in red, white and blue - colori of the flag? This was my reaction when I learned that Marvel Entertainment planned to release a movie based upon the comic book character.

My condescending contempt toward this new movie grew deeper when I learned that Chris Evans,...

Below is my review of "IRON MAN 2", the sequel to 2008's "IRON MAN":

”IRON MAN 2” (2010) Review

I must say that I am grateful to the filmmakers of ”IRON MAN 2”, sequel to the 2008 blockbuster, ”IRON MAN”. I am grateful that they only waited two years to make this movie, instead of three years o more. But even if they had made the movie più than two years after the original film, I believe the movie proved to be worth any wait.

Some IRON MAN fan and film critics have expressed the opinion that ”IRON MAN 2” was inferior to the original 2008 movie. I certainly feel differently....

I plan to post reviews on the Film featuring the Heroes of the Avengers Initiative, until I post one on the actual "THE AVENGERS" movie. My first will be on the 2008 film, "IRON MAN":

"IRON MAN" (2008) Review

I had never heard of the Marvel comic hero, Iron Man, until I saw the trailer for the new movie, a few months ago. Mind you, I had heard of Iron Man’s alter ego – Tony Stark. The latter’s name had been mentioned in several Internet articoli written about Spider-Man. Which is why I could not summon any excitement when I saw the trailer for the new movie starring Robert Downey, Jr....

"And who is this?" asked clint as Iron man held a girl that looked say 19 to 20. "This is the squirt that keeps braking into the Macy's store." The girl struggled as Iron man Hald her hands behind her back. "I didnt do it. I was going after the guy who did." Iron man mocked laughter, "right, te just happened to be ther with all this clothes in a bag, that still had its tag on, sure." The girl, snapped, "you got to listen to me, that guy is the one te want. I jsut want to get him and turn him in." Thor stood there with arms crossed, "Why human, would te do that?" The girl snarled, "The guy...

Claire Danes as the Marvelous Ms. Marvel
Claire Danes as the Marvelous Ms. Marvel
As Carol Susan Jane Danvers, CIA agent, we have the wonderful actress, Claire Danes. Claire is best known for her lead role in the spy thriller, Homeland. Her character, Carrie Mathison is più o less the bipolar Carol Danvers. Claire also has shown as a knack for scifi, especially in the 2007 Matthew Vaughn directed Stardust. Claire is an award winning actress who fits Carol’s age, 34, and has a long resume of amazing roles, even when the movie is crappy. Claire Danes is also very sunny and humorous, a great part of what Carol Danvers is like. Unlike other female actress who have been cast...

AVENGERS HEROES: "BLACK PANTHER" (2018) Review

I am going to be brutally honest. For the past three years, I have harbored mixed feelings about the output from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The anno 2015 produced one movie that I found entertaining, yet disappointing; and another film that I found entertaining and original, but not exactly mind blowing. But the years 2016 and 2017 proved to be very disappointing, as far as MCU Film were concerned. da the end of 2017, I thought the MCU had finally Lost its mojo . . . until I saw "BLACK PANTHER", early in the following year.

I realize...

Hey, name's Amber Stark yup last name is Stark. My dad is Tony Stark, I'm also a member of The Avengers like he is. I'm 15 years old plus I'm a werewolf. My best friend of the Avengers is Steve Rogers, I get along with him better than my dad does strange I know. Like the others we hate Loki, I hate him più than others do. My werewolf form is that I have black pelliccia (as a werewolf I'm known as Nightshade) and my eye color is a goldish yellow. I was born in Malibu on a June evening. I'm know to be Ribelle - The Brave especially when around Loki, smart like my dad (maybe a little smarter), I'm loyal to the team and also I'm friendly to all the members, I also get along with Bruce Banner because we both have a monster inside us.

"Sister?! Tanium? Is that you?" Selvera asked, dumb founded. Olivia smiled, "Yes sister. Why? Why are te here?"

That was when Selvera narrowed her eyes, "Why would te ask such a quation sister? Do te not remember why te are here?" Olivia snarled at her winged sister, "WHY ARE te HERE SELVERA?" Selvera's eyes shot daggers, "Oh Sister, why we are just coming home."

In the 2013 Marvel movie, The Avengers, there are many examples of religious motifs. There are seven major religious motifs that I will be addressing; Messianic hero, immortality, free will and determinism, prophecy, evil, mysticism, and apocalypse. All of these religious motifs can be found throughout the movie. With many examples to support each of these motifs, I’ve chosen a few that I think best represent each religious motifs. But first, here is a quick recap of what happens in case te have never seen the movie…
The Avengers is about a group of superheroes and humans that come together...

AVENGERS HEROES: "GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2" (2017) Review

Before I started on this review, I found myself wondering which "phase" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) that "GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2" found itself. Phase Two? Phase Three? In fact, I continued to ponder più about the franchise's current phase than about the plot for this movie. Until I finally shook myself out of this stupor.

Back in 2014, Marvel Films/Disney Studios released "GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY" during the mese of August, più o less a graveyard for summer films. I suspect that Kevin Fiege had low expectations...

It really was a brilliant idea to include the song as part of the trailer because to put it simply, any one who knows Ultron well enough would agree that the song fits quite nicely. Especially me. The song was part of the trailer because in the story, ???somehow, for whatever crazy reason they had ended up creating a crazy, psychopathic robot that wants to dominate the world. But think of it like this: "I've got no strings, to hold me down. To make me fret, o make me frown. I had strings, but now I'm free, there are no strings on me"=Ultron is built da ???, Ultron gets free o becomes "self-aware", Ultron challenges The Avengers, te get the Idea! It's also worth mentioning how Ultron makes a possible reference to the movie "Pinnochio" when he says "You're all puppets! Strings, strings!" Have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about o think I'm crazy? GO WATCH THE TRAILER! Everything I mentioned before is in there! Trust me! GabsSaw out! ;)
