Do te think Mark David Chapman should be released from prison?

Hear me out for a minute. John was always nice and forgiving. Even though he shot the most inspiring man in the world, maybe he should be released. Now don't get me wrong, he should be kept in there a long time, but do te think John would forgive someone like him? Do te think John would hate him? Please reply.
