I can see why someone may record it, as going to see the show is exspensive and ALW hasn't made an official recorded version other than a movie, but it must be annoying as an actor seeing a red light and as an audience member, seeing a red light in the corner of your eye? What does everyone else think? :)

I think most audience members would be happy about attending a show that is being filmed -- that way they can remember the exact performance they saw and relive it often. I would love to have a filmed version of the play so I can see it over and over again. I have only had the opportunity to see the play twice.

By the way guys, by recording i mean illegal recording. I would love if they did a proper filmed performance but i'm talking about illegal ones that are usually sold or traded.

I disagree with it, however it really isn't changing much, the proper recording for me didn't change much, I would still get my butt over to England to see it again if I could.. But I guess the rare clips we do get wouldn't be as special then either..
I would however love to be able to take photos :( I go to concerts all the time here and take photos, the experience itself is obviously amazing but then coming away with one good photo you know you took is just something else entirely.. But there would be no way of policing it and you would get people doing the wrong thing.. so pretty much all a bad idea

Think about the first time you saw the show. How was life treating you? Would you sit in the same seat? In the same theater? Would you be able to wear the same outfit? Is seeing the show part of your whole life story? Or when you think of it, is it a happy event that you remember, and could be in the same place emotionally again, REGARDLESS of how much things had changed? Or to you NEED to isolate that happy moment in time, and enjoy the exact same moment forever?
