Tokyo Ghoul Domanda

Can someone explain to me

I just finished Leggere Tokyo Ghoul manga, and then there Tokyo Ghoul:re. Whats the connection to between these two? Is :re a sequel o prequel to the main TG storyline? Is it the same storyline just from someone else's perspective?
