Seddie4Ever picked 1-2 awful/poorly written/lacks all over:
When I first starting watching Glee, Finn and Rachel were my favorite couple (God only knows why.). But as I started watching, it became more and more obvious that the writing almost always sided with Finn Hudson always being right. He cheats on Quinn twice with Rachel, and has an emotional affair with her throughout the first 13 episodes. But that's okay, because the baby is really Puck's! Finn dumps Rachel to find his inner rock star, but Rachel should take him back because Jesse is obviously a jerk and Finn said so. Finn acts like a complete jackass over the Run Joey Run video, and even though he is not her boyfriend anymore, makes it all about him. He doesn't respect her relationship with Jesse when he sings Jessie's Girl to her. He also tells Rachel that Jesse won't love her if she can't sing. In season 2, after they have gotten back together, Finn laughs when Santana makes fun of Rachel, never once defending her. He wants to get to second base with Rachel, even though her "boobs aren't that great" according to him. He lies to her about sleeping with Santana, and when she finds out, refuses to even apologize. But when he finds out that Rachel kissed Puck, he turns everything around to make it look like everything is Rachel's fault, and dumps her. He leaves her in a Christmas tree field, even though he's her ride home. He tells Rachel that he sees fireworks when he kisses Quinn, but not when he kisses her. Finn only defends her idea to do original songs when they're alone together. He also acts like a complete jackass over that Rachel is a bit clingy when she's drunk. And then there's the fact that when Rachel sings Get It Right at Regionals, Finn suddenly wants her back. Finn breaks her nose (Okay, I know that wasn't intentional, but I just find that funny. :D). When he thinks that Quinn is cheating on him with Sam, he and Rachel spy on them. He takes Rachel out, alone in his car, to go spy on his current girlfriend and the guy he stole her from. Does anyone else see a problem with this? At prom, he ruins both Rachel's and Quinn's proms because he picks a fight with Jesse. After he called Quinn the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. The next episode, he dumps Quinn at a funeral, because he felt "tethered" to Rachel. He took Rachel on a date after she said she didn't want to be with him. In season 3, he bought a star for Rachel in HIS name. He proposed to Rachel because he had no future. He expected Rachel to give up on her lifelong dream of going to Broadway so that he could go clean pools with Puck (something that he had just decided that episode). Rachel said that she would stay with Finn, because he was her future. This is after she had already said that Broadway was her true love. And THEN, in the season 3 finale, he broke off his engagement to Rachel while driving her to the bus station. WITHOUT HER KNOWLEDGE. He made her get on a bus and go to New York, and apparently told everyone to be there. And yet no one said anything to Rachel. I don't ever want to see these two together ever again.

Yes, Finchel started as cliche, high school love and all, but as the seasons progressed they became better.
