showrunner Marc Guggenheim has revealed the door will be left open for Wentworth Miller following his onscreen exit.

actor plays Leonard Snart/Citizen Cold in the series but will bow out during tonight\'s episode (Monday 12) after it was revealed he would be dropping out of the DC TV-sphere in November.

However, it looks like Miller may indeed return as Snart in a future series, as Guggenheim says he won\'t actually die in tonight\'s much-anticipated premiere episode.

"Leo never says I\'m staying with the team permanently,\'" Guggenheim told

"He has said, \'I\'m gonna stay until they get over their death, until they mourn the death of Stein.\' And you see that happen and Leo leaves with— he has a really good reason to leave. And he\'s leaving for a very, I think, positive reason. And he leaves with, I\'d say, a really good piece of advice for Sara."

marks the series\' big return after a long hiatus.

To celebrate, legendary DC character John Constantine will be joining the cast. He\'ll be portrayed by Welsh actor Matt Ryan, who has previously donned the role in the 2014
