“What?!”
“Anton rigged this place to explode!” Becca turned to her boyfriend. “Robin, please get everyone out of here!”
“I'm not leaving without you!”
The entire ground shook vigorously and things started coming down. The bomb had started.
“Please! I have to shut that bomb off!”
“I'm not about to loose you, Becca! It's happened before and it won't happen now!”
“Look, I Amore you. te know that. But if te don't go, I'll have to force te to leave. If worse comes to worse, I can teleport out. Please!”
Robin searched her eyes. She was as scared as he was about this whole thing. With a passionate baciare and a nod, Robin led the others to safety. Becca went over to her dad's computer, touching the keyboard. Her fingers flew over the keys as she typed command after command.
“Becca!”
“Erin?! What are te doing?!”
“Court, Talia, Sylver, Val, and I are here! We want to help you!”
“If te do, then leave!”
“NO! We aren't about to let te sacrifice yourself for the good of everyone else.”
“And why the heck not!”
“Because someone loves you!”
Becca froze for a minute, looking over her shoulder at Erin. Her team stood, ready to help and willing to die. Becca turned back to the computer.
“Why are te doing this?”
“Because we would give up the world for you! Willow too. But we demanded her to stay away. We Amore te Becca! Now let us help you!”
“Erin! Get Becca out of here!” Talia exclaimed.
“What?!”
“The bomb! It's about to explode!”
Without a secondo thought, Erin scooped her leader up and took off. She sped away from the commotion of exploding buildings and to the outside. Just as she reached the threshold, the entire place blew. The two girls were flung into the air and landed a few feet away. Erin got up, going over to Becca.
“Bec! te okay?”
“No. They...their gone! Talia...Sylver...Court...Val...gone.”
Erin looked at her leader. Becca was not one to be sensetive, but this had been something she knew Becca would always remember. Becca sat up and Erin embraced the young girl. Erin felt a deep loss inside of her heart, but she couldn't cry. The tears just wouldn't come. Becca sobbed into her and Erin could do little più than hug her. Becca had always been mature, never seeming to be thirteen. But Erin just now realized how much Becca's past had affected her.
“Becca! Erin!”
The latter looked up to find Willow coming their way. Becca could do little più than cry and Erin knew she was going to have her hands full.
“What's wrong Erin? Is Becca hurt?”
“Yes Willow. But te will be too. The others...they didn't make it.”
“W-what?”
“Talia, Sylver, Val, and Court. They never made it out.”
Willow sunk to her knees, and Erin opened an arm, inviting Willow to unisciti her sister. Erin comforted the two, regretting never watching over them til now. She looked up and saw from a distance that Devin was giving the others the tragic news. Her eyes watered as she saw Megan fall to her knees, crying uncontrollably. Erin looked back down at the girls she was holding and finally joined them in their tears.
