I accept Honey limone as a Latina character. I don't accept Princess Sofia as being the first Latina Disney princess because being half Spanish is not Latino; it's Caucasian, so she's full White. And I accept Princess Elena as Latina, even though I am also disappointed that she doesn't get her own movie. postato più di un anno fa

Because we're not. Latinos are Latin American. We are a mixed breed. Our ancestors are the Spanish and the natives that lived here in the Americas (Mayans, Incas, and Aztecs). It's like calling Kuzco and the characters from The Emperor's New Groove "Latino". They are not. They were their own race. People from Spain are Caucasian. We Latino adopted the language because they were our ancestors. But we are our own people. più di un anno fa

Well, yes, but you're not going to call every European a Latino. te are directly Spanish from your grandparents. te are both Spanish and Latina. My grandparents were straight from Puerto Rico o Colombia. Only some time a long, long time ago, were my Spanish ancestors with the natives of Puerto Rico (the Tainos) and that's how my Puerto Rican family came to be. I am not Spanish o Native American though. I am Latin American. I am the mixed breed of two different races many years ago. Sofia is related to Spain from her mother's side but she is not from Latin America. She is pretty much full European. (being that Enchancia is a fictional country based in Europe). più di un anno fa
