(March 29, 2011)

The party got into full swing within a half hour. We had moved into the town of Jasper to a hotel's ballroom. Kate, Jon, Eve, Winston, and everyone else was all there and we were celebrating Scar's moving out.
Then, out of nowhere, Garth burst in.
"Lilly's alive!" he yelled. Everyone froze and stared at him.
"What?" Kate said. She couldn't believe what he had said, just like everyone else.
"Lilly's alive!" he repeated.
"Where is she?" Eve demanded. She had thought that Lilly was dead, just like Kate and everyone.
"Sacramento, California!"
"I know where that is!" I detto loudly. Garth and Kate looked at me. "I can get us home in an ora and a half, refuel, and then get us to Sacramento International inside of 4 hours."
"Well, what are we waiting for?" asked Kate.
I grabbed my jacket.
"Scar, te coming?"
"You better believe that I am," she detto hotly. "My brother's not entirely sane, hasn't been since Lilly's disappearance. I'm coming to keep an eye on him."
"Kate?" I asked.
"I'm coming too. I wanna see Lilly."
That made four. I was gonna have to tell Jon that he couldn't come too. I opened my mouth to tell him, but he spoke first.
"I know, I can't go. Too many passengers."
I nodded. He reached inside his giacca and pulled a puledro, colt .45 M1911. "Protect Kate at all costs."
I accepted the weapon. "I will. But I don't need this. I've got an M4 carabina in the bird."
"Keep it."
I did. I bid all farewell and followed the Lupi to the helicopter.
The engine started smoothly and I contacted Air Traffic Control.
"Jasper ATC, Mike Delta Three Four Three requesting permission for takeoff, departure to the southwest for emergency purposes."
"Roger, Three Four Three, say nature of your emergency," the controller replied.
"ATC, we do not have the time. It's a personal matter anyway," I snapped at them.
The controller sighed. "Roger, Three Four Three, cleared for takeof, departing to the southwest for emergency purposes."
I thanked them and took off heading south.

An ora and a half later, the skids touched down at my home so we could refuel for the secondo leg of the flight. Scar, Kate, and Garth stayed in the bird while I fueled her up because I didn't want to have to waste time for them to get back in and buckled up and whatever. While I was here though, I made sure I grabbed some snacks. .

"Mike Delta Three Four Three, cleared in pad one," detto the controller at Sacramento's Sacramento International. The MD500 flared in for a flawless landing and I killed the turbine. Garth was out of the chopper before I could even raise my hand to the kill switch.
"Garth, get back here!" yelled Scar. He did, reluctantly.
"We need to stick together," I said. Garth was as anxious as I had ever seen him.
A few minuti later, we were all in a car headed to meet Lilly. I kept raising my hand to the M1911 that Jon had dato me and hoped I didn't have to use it.
