Garth continued to run as fast as he could trying his best to keep up with
Kate. Little did he know that his mate Lilly and his friend Humphrey just got
wolfnapped da a few hunters, but he ran through the forest determined to find Kate.
Garth stopped and tried to catch his breath and searched around his surroundings to see
if he could find o hear anything. "Pant,Pant shes got to be around here some where??"
"I must be at least close to finding her....... I hope!" Garth takes one last look around
and puts his nose to the ground and takes a big wiff of the earth hoping to find at least
the scent of Kate. " Sniff, sniff, sniff, hmmmmm???" Garth walks a little bit farther and
around his surroundings. "Sniff, sniff, GOT HER!!!!" Garth picked up his head and ran
toward the smell that he had picked up. "I know that smell and thats Kate I know it!!!!"
Garth ran through the trees and the brush following his nose until her scent became very
strong. "Ok theres no doubt shes around here!!!" Garth takes a look at the ground around
him hoping to find anything like tracks she might have left behind. "Come on Kate leave
me something behind." He looked around the forest floor and then something large
caught his eye. "Her paw print, just like the one Lilly found earlier." "Hehehe thanks
Kate now it will be easy to find te now!!" Garth figured the prints would lead him
right to her, but while following the prints he cant help but notice the prints got smaller
the farther he went. "Wow thats something te don't see everyday!!" "I wonder why
they are getting smaller??" he thought. He followed the prints until coming up upon a
deserted den. "Kate" he yells, Are te in there?" All Garth got back was the echo of his
own voice. "Kate if your in there please answer me!!" "I want to help you." "Kate???"
Garth not getting risposte back walked into the tana, den trying to see if he could find
anything. "Kate its me Garth, if your in here please answer me!!!" Garth than heres
mumbling coming from the back of the den. "Kate!!!! Is that you?"
"Common Kate I'm here to help you!!" "Go away Garth!!" Garth's ears stood on
superiore, in alto of his head. He couldn't make out where that came from it was as if she was in every
corner of the den. "No I'm not going anywhere, now common mostra yourself so we can
head back to the valley!!" "Everybody has been worried sick about you!!"........... "I can't
go back." Kate detto sadly. "What why???" "What are te talking about?" "Why can't
te go back to the valley."....... "I don't want to endanger the ones I Amore it was bad
enough that I almost attacked my own sister!"...... "Oh common Kate I'm sure te didn't
mean it!!!" "Your right Garth I didn't mean it but the monster did..." "Monster?? What
monster............." Garth sat there in the blackness of the tana, den waiting for an answer back.
"Look Kate I don't know what this whole monster thing is about but I'm sure we can find
help back at the vall.............." Garth is then interrupted.. "GARTH don't te get it I've
become this monster, this heartless beast that attacks anyone that comes near me!!"
"What happens successivo I get back to the valley and attack everyone I care about.... I don't
think so, I'm not taking that chance." Kate then begins to cry. "Kate let me tell te
something your to good of a lupo do such a thing anyway." "If te controlled it from
not attacking Lilly than I'm sure te can control it around everyone else, now common,
come with me back to the valley!!".............. "sniff Garth give me one good reason why I
should go back?" ......... "Heres te reason, your family and Humphrey." There was a
moment of silence in the tana, den as if everything was on mute. "So what do te say
Kate???" Then from the shadows of the tana, den Kate steps out of the darkness and taps
Garth on the shoulder. Garth turns around and sees Kate staring at him with her big
beautiful brown eyes.. "Garth.......... I say your right." "Good now lets go back to the
Valley I'm sure everyone will be happy to see te again!"
"Dale are those two Lupi still asleep, take a quick pep out at the truck bed." "As
far as I can tell they are still sound asleep." "Thats good, ok now ounce we get to the
lodge we need to take them to the dog cenal before they awake." "You got it??" "Ya I
got it....Richard are te sure this is a good idea?? I mean these Lupi might not even be
close to her??" "Heh Dale there's no doubt in my mind that they will be perfect to get
her back to the lodge." "Ummm Richard if te don't mind me asking, umm what are
te gonna do with her if te catch her??" Dale asked. "Well first of all I'm going to
take her back to the states to get a secondo opinion on her, I mean we may have a new
lupo breed here and who knows discovering a new breed may mean some serious cash
for the discoverer!!" "What about her pup??" "Well if I'm lucky, when that thing is born
it will hopefully be just like her, and that means we will have two new breeds of lupo
and of course più money." "I'm telling te Dale this will be a break through about
everything we know about wolves." Dale sits in the passenger sede, sedile feeling really really
bad. "Richard are te sure we are doing the right thing, I mean I think your becoming a
little too greedy about this whole thing!!" Richard stares at Dale and smiles... "Heh says
te my friend." "Ok we are here, common lets get those things inside!!" Richard and
Dale walk to the back of the truck and grab Lilly and Humphrey who are still knocked
out cold. "Ok like I detto we will take them to the cenals, but be sure to put them into
separate cenals just to be sure nothing happens." "UUUHHHH Richard!!! This white
lupo is beginning to wake up!!!" "OHHH ok common, hurry lets put them into there
cenals!" Dale and Richard walked into the cenals, the smell of precedente animali filled
the room. "UGH it smells like wet dog in here!!" Dale said. "Alright here te go" Dale
detto to Lilly as he set her down gently on the cold cement floor. "Hey Richard don't lock
the gates yet I'm gonna get these two something to eat and drink so they have something
before they wake up." "Ok but hurry Dale." Dale runs out of the cenals and comes back
with two silver metal bowls full of cold water. "Alright here te go te two!!" "Don't
want te to feel to out of home!!" "Ok now will te common on Dale we have to get
ready for that thing to come back, now come on!!!" Dale stands up of the floor and
stares at Richard and then back at Lilly and Humphrey. "Ok Richard I'm coming."
Richard walks out of the room leaving Dale alone in the room with the two wolves. Dale
walks to the door and takes one last look at Humphrey and Lilly and sighs... "You guys I
know te don't understand me ,but I just want to let te two know that I have nothing to
do with this." Dale then walks out the door closing it behind him. "I do understand te
and thank te Dale for the water..." Lilly whispered. Lilly sits up still feeling very funky
trying to find out where she is. "Hmm I don't know where I am but I know its not good!"
She looks across the room and sees Humphrey in the other cenal. Humphrey was still
fast asleep and clearly still having a good dream because of his big grin. "Ugh
Humphrey your unbelievable, I can't believe your still asleep." "HUMPHREY WAKE
UP!!! Lilly screamed. "WAH WAH WAH WHATS GOING ON!! No Kate I wasn't
looking at te funny!!!" "Humphrey its me Lilly!!" "HUH Lilly what are te doing
here." "Ummm Humphrey te don't even know where here is???" "Hmm good
point..YAWN...... sorry I'm still a little tired." Humphrey looks around the room and all
he can see was large steel fences surrounding him. He looks at the ceiling and sees the
window with the moon light shining through. "Hmmm Lilly I can tell te right now that
we are in pretty deep!"
