I need some serious help here, trying to find an Anime I remember uh, minimum detail.

Ok - so here we go. Having been born in '94, I missed out on a good amount of classic Anime that I've caught up on. Mostly due to my brother watching it when I was just a little kid - which is what this is. As far as I remember, the quality of the animazione makes me think it was an Anime movie, like Akira.

So here's what I remember: the protagonist wears a white sort of jumpsuit, a casco with a gundam-esque V on it, and he fought monsters. Specifically I remember him fighting one in a subway/tunnel area.

Seriously all I really remember. A friend of mine, when I asked him, says there was a red scarf involved and that he can't remember the titolo either, but hell if I know. If te can help, please do.
