Cristianesimo Domanda

What's wrong with the people who claim to be good Christians?

I've met several people who say they're good Christians.

Although they say this, they think they can just toss all their prejudice onto God, look through the Bible, find something about it, and say, "Oh, hey...my prejudice truly is justified. It says so right here!" Another thing they do is try to judge everyone for even the tiniest mistakes they make and they tell people that sin that they're going to Hell, while they're no better. No one is perfect, so they have no right to harp on people whose mistakes might me just a little più obvious than theirs. Everyone sins, everyone fail, everyone messes up. No one is perfect It's God's job to judge and no one else's, right? So why do these so-called "good Christians" judge everyone for all of their mistakes ad flaws when they make mistakes and have flaws themselves?

What do te think? Are these people really good Christians?

absolutely not. a good christian understands that people make mistakes and does their best to help others. good christians do not judge anybody, o at least they try not to. God is the judge and He has unlimited forgiveness.

This message has been brought to te da André Gide and his quote, "Believe those who are seeking the truth. Doubt those who find it."

Hi! I know exactly what u mean.
I have known many people who claim to be good Christians but are some of the worst people I've ever met. People who claim to be "good" Christians are usually not consudering being a Christian requires humility. Also many conservative literal Christians go da what the exact words in the bible say, so they think any one o anything that is different is wrong. People like that are closed minded and will never be the loving and open people Christians should be.

first of all, saying all people who claim to be good Christians are bad and are hypocrites sounds kind of even più hypocritical to me. So in order to be a Christian shouldn't mean that te "have" to have a whole lot a flaws, then what kind of Christian would that make te if te are trying to "not be so good" o whatever. I believe ther are some very "righteous" people in this world da Christian standards and they try to be loving and good. Too many Christians are persecuted and called goody two-shoes because of their religion. I think te have a point there though, there are hypocrites in this world...a lot! But lets not mix the hypocrite up with good people who a really trying :) not every "good Christian" is a good christian, but not every good Christian is a bad Christian either

No, no, I did not mean it like that. I meant that a lot of them who openly claim to be wonderful, good Christians are usually like that. And thank te for your answer.

There is a difference between being "righteous" and being "self-righteous," though.

they are fools who live in a selfrightous bubble of ignorance, while at the same time, they fail to see reality for what it is. dont listen to them. we are all sinners, a the end of the day.and noone is better than the other. god loves each of us in equal measure. anyone who sin, and claim that they are good christians, are not good chrisians at all.
