 Man, she's frightening here!!!
Man, she's frightening here!!!
Hi guys, I managed to watch the movie last Sunday and I truly enjoy it, for those who are a diehard Angelina Jolie fan here, first of all no hard feelings as I'm going to very straightforward with this review on the movie and her acting.

The story and landscape

First of all, the movie was visually amazing, as well the graphic and location was breathtaking. There are times where I wish I could enter into that world of fantasy, during the battle scene, I always thought that it was like a crossover between The Chronicles of Narnia and Lord the Rings! I was also amazed that Maleficent has wings and initially I thought that the movie was about the origins about how she became vengeful towards King Stefan for not inviting her to Aurora's Baptism.
It wasn't until after fate took them under their wings to care for the princess. In fact I was quite surprise that Maleficent was personally there to spy on her instead of sending her trolls to hunt for Aurora!
After that, I was intrigue that Aurora address Maleficent as her fairy godmother instead of the three good fate which left a disturbing revelation after watching this as I was so use watching the original 1959 version.

The Acting

Despite not being an Angelina Jolie fan, I was pretty amaze on her tryout as a villain (or anti-hero) in this movie. She actually convince everybody in this film that she really is Maleficent, however initially I thought that Eva Green o Michelle Pfeiffer was going to be the titolo character but I was amaze to see Jolie as the titolo character.
Moving on to Elle Fanning, she became my favourite actress now because she does look like Aurora a lot. Although in some shots, she looks like a younger Galadriel from Lord of the Rings, mainly because of her wavy hair. But other than that, her recitazione is amazing.
King Stefan was another character when I think he's very much like Hans from Frozen, due to their very same motives. Unlike the latter, Stefan managed to succeed as oppose to his namesake animated counterpart.
Prince Philip in this movie looks a lot like Prince Caspian from The Chronicles of Narnia and when he first came on screen, I was like 'Why is Caspian in this movie??' and 'Is that Caspian's long-lost younger brother??' Also, when he first met Aurora, again with the Narnia-Lord of the Rings crossovers! It was like Galadriel meets Prince Caspian.

The Music

I was initially expecting that it was going to use the 1959 music, but I guess they wanted something different, also when I first heard of Lana Del Rey's version of Once Upon a Dream. It was like Maleficent Canto to me, she was like trying to hypnotise me to follow her.
James Newton Howard did a fantastic job on this once again and it's so different and sophisticating.

Conclusion

I would like to conclude that it was amazing despite as mention earlier, that I was use to the 1959 classic that we all grew up with. I really Amore the movie and hope te enjoy this review despite that your opinions are different than mine.
