"Mulan, we all knew it was coming." he tried to convince. "True, but why?" Mulan argued. "Your grandmother's death may have been unexpected, but look at it this way-she lived a long happy life." John comforted. "She DID live a pretty good life." Mulan replied. "And spiritually, she still lives on." Pocahontas added. Mulan finally managed to smile. Merida was still quiet.
"Why aren't te saying anything?" Shang asked as if he was scolding her. "She'll speak when she has something to say." Pocahontas said. "I'm going to get some air with Ping." Mulan stated as she picked up Ping and brought him outside to play. "I'll go with her." Shang replied as he walked out. "Don't blame yourself, Dear." John comforted. "I'm not blaming myself. I just...Didn't expect something like this to happen." Merida replied. "Merida, NOBODY expected this to happen. Unfortunately, some tragedies happen during happy times." Pocahontas stated.
"I want to be there for Mulan, yet I want to go back home and let her mourn in peace." Merida stated. "You ARE being there for her." John said. "You're just worried you're going to say the wrong thing." Pocahontas replied. "You just took the words right outta my mouth, Pocahontas." Merida detto slyly. "If te feel like you're being selfish, you're not. You're being very thoughtful and considerate." John soothed. Merida took a deep breath. "I guess I'm standin' da for when Mulan needs me." she said. "Right now, she all of us." Pocahontas replied somberly.
Merida suddenly had an idea. "Let me go get Shang!" she winced as she ran outside. "Shang, I need you!" she stated fast. "For what?" Shang asked awkwardly. "It'll only be a moment." Merida answered. "I'll be right back, Mulan." Shang stated as he headed inside with Merida. "I have an idea." Merida informed. "What is it?" John asked. "We should throw Mulan a cena party!" Merida answered
"Are te crazy?!?" Shang stormed. "NO! It's a way of telling Mulan we care about her!" Merida proceeded. "That sounds fantastic to me!" John stated. "We'll make her a big feast!" Pocahontas exclaimed. "You guys do whatever te want, but count me out." Shang bickered. Merida had the angriest look on her face yet. "She's your WIFE Shang! Is this the time when you're not going to support her?" she fumed.
Shang closed his eyes in defeat. His worst fear was letting Mulan down. "You got me." he confessed. "Okay, what do we do?" Merida stratagized. "We should go to the market without Mulan knowing." John replied. "That sounds like a plan." Pocahontas added. The foursome went to work for the festivities.
