This is the secondo time I've done this. Well, it's been changed yet again, and.. A lot. So, I might as well re-do it, there's been some pretty big changes since I last made this article. Some placements have changed a lot, and some have stayed around the same, so you'll find out soon which placements have changed and which havent. Anyways, please keep in mind that this is my opinion, and we may disagreement so respect my opinion and I will respect yours. I hope te enjoy the article! :)
And I really want to know what te think about my list, so if te could comment, it would mean a lot!
13. Belle.
Let me start off da saying no, I'm not one of those wonderful people who loves every Disney Princess, I actually dislike Belle. I don't like Belle for a few reasons. For one, she really has no flaws in her movie. She never goes through a character development, only Beast goes through that. Second, it annoys me how she's considered odd in her town because she reads. I know that at the time it was different, but I don't get why it's just SO different. And if she's odd, wouldn't people be shying away from her, instead of going after her, trying to marry her? Practically everyone on her town loves her, she's like their Queen o something. I know it's probably just because it's a Disney movie, but I don't remember odd people being beloved da their entire town. So basically, she's a perfect character who never goes through a development, and I never really see change in her. I know she's considered relatable and everything, but how can I relate to a character that has no flaws and is beloved da everyone?
12. Mulan.
Nope, not a fan of Mulan either. I'm one of those people who doesn't like her, although I swear those people don't exist. Anyways, she actually used to be my number one. So.. What happened? Why did she make such a huge drop? Well, I don't think she's amazing as people make her out to be. Brave, smart, a great personality. I don't see all of that in her. She's pretty brave, but I think there are braver characters out there than just her. She's smart, but I don't think she's THAT smart, quick-thinking and smart are different. I don't find her personality appealing. She's pretty lazy and gave up too easily at the beginning of the movie. She only works hard when she's forced. Then da the end of the movie, she's completely perfect and is able to save all of China. I also don't see how she's so INCREDIBLY relatable to everyone. She's not confident that her parents will like who she really is. Well, at that point in the movie when she sings Reflection, who she really is, is a lazy, non hard working person. Well, then why should her parents find her to be this amazing person, if that's who she is? They are her parents and all, but seriously? She needs to shape up first. And da the end of the movie she's basically a flawless character. She sure goes through a huge character development, but she goes from someone who is far too flawed, to someone who's no where near flawed. It's like she's not even the same person.
11. Ariel.
Okay, I do like her, well, to an extent. I like how adventurous she is, and I like it better then the way Belle is "adventurous". However, her rebelliousness is a bit of an issue. Yes, she chases after her dreams, but leaving her family behind? Yes, I know, it wasn't just for Eric, she also wanted to know about the human world. However, Eric was her main motivation for leaving, he pushed her to the extent of wanting to leave. And then, she makes a deal with a sea witch, who she knows is evil. And yes, she thinks about it, but for barely any time at all. Couldn't they at least have dato a small time lapse to mostra she has really thought about her decision? I don't think just because she chases after her dreams makes her an amazing character, she has to do it in a good way, in fact it actually makes her quite a bad role model. Although, most kids will just pay attention to the fact that she's a mermaid and not really care that she left her family behind, so that's okay, right? Um.. No. Chasing after your dreams, being adventurous, good. But taking it to this level? Yeah, no. So I do like her, but I have a LOT of issues with her character.
10. Merida.
Similar to Mulan, she took a large drop on my list. But why? I've started to lose my liking for the rebellious types, like Ariel and Merida. I do like Merida, but not nearly as much as I used to. Anyways, yes, she does admit her mistakes in the end and apologizes, but one apology.. Does it really make up for turning your mom into a bear, for what could have been forever? Also, Merida acts incredibly bratty and selfish in the beginning, am I supposed to like that? And even when she does go through her development, te don't see much of her after it, so I'm basically supposed to assume she's some amazing character now. And also, this doesn't make me hate her o anything, but I dont understand how she's supposed to be a huge feminist for not wanting to get married. She never even really explains why she doesn't want to get married, so that basically just adds to her selfishness, she doesn't want to get married because she doesn't want to. Well.. Okay, sounds good to me. Not!
9. Pocahontas.
I really do Amore her! Many people classify her as a boring character, but I really think it's just because people don't understand her character that well. She's interesting, just in a più "quiet, not putting myself out there." Way. I Amore how wild and adventurous she is! And da adventurous, I mean it in probably the best way possible. She's interesting, wild, fun, and adventurous. The reason she's not higher is though despite her being interesting, I think the Disney Princesses higher up on my lista are più so.
8. Anna.
I've really learned to Amore her! I still find her annoying at times, and I don't think she's exactly the smartest (or anywhere near it.) but who says te need to be smart to make it high on my list? I think Mulan is pretty smart and look where she got placed. I find her a really likeable character. She's jeadstromg and adventurous, but not over the superiore, in alto with things, like Ariel, o overly bratty, like Merida. I find her to be a very interesting and fun character, however, I think the Princesses higher on the lista are just better, and they aren't as irritating as she can be somtimes.
7. Jasmine.
I Amore her! She's not afraid to stand up to people, she speaks her mind, and let's people know how she feels about things. She's one of those characters where everything that comes out of her mouth is a great thing to hear. She IS the Queen of sass after all, and I like to see some sass in characters, one of my superiore, in alto five is pretty sassy after all. Anyways, she's really a great character all around. She's interesting, sassy, forgiving, kind, but.. Um. Well, she's not higher because I just Amore the others più than I do for her.
6. Elsa.
Elsa has been moving around my lista a lot. She moved up, down, up, down, up, down, and now up again! I absolutely Amore her now. She's really complex, and in my opinion, the most complex Disney Princess. She's suffered mental abuse and intense fear thanks to her parents, for her whole life. Her parents die, she's isolated from the world, and fear has been controlling her, she's afraid to talk to her own sister. I think it really shows complexity in her character. She's a really amazing character, and she's higher than her sister because of her complexity, and she has più maturity. She's not higher because I absolutelh adore my superiore, in alto five.
5. Tiana.
The first African American Disney Princess, and the one who's movie brought the franchise back to life, that's not other then Tiana! I completely adore her. She's really interesting and smart character. I Amore how she goes after her dreams, and works hard to do so. I also Amore how she's a bit sassy too, like I detto before, I enjoy sassy characters, most of the time. Tiana is so hardworking though, that's probably my preferito part about her. She doesn't stop o let things get in her way, but she doesn't leave EVERYTHING behind to do this. She keeps her relationship with her parents strong, and thanks to that, she is supported and helped throughout her dream, and is able to make it come true.
4. Rapunzel.
She was my preferito Disney Princess before, what happened? Well, she's slipped three spots because I'm noticing flaws in her, well, più like.. Less flaws. I ADORE her, but I don't see as much reason to like her as I used to. She's a bit of a mix, between a bunch of Disney Princesses. Anyways, there are many things I do Amore about her. I Amore how fun and creative she is. I also Amore how she chases after her dreams, but she says she will return to her mother, she didn't plan on staying where she was forever. She's really an amazing character who does develop, but I think the others are più interesting then she is. (I never thought I would be saying that.)
3. Aurora.
Yeah, the uninteresting plot device who serves no purpose is in my superiore, in alto three. Except I disagree with that statement. So.. She is a plot device then, she does just serve a purpose for the plot. But, I think she'd really interesting, despite being a plot device. She really catches my interest in the movie. I really wish she was dato più screentime, to mostra più flaw in her character, and make her più interesting. I still think she's absolutely amazing. She really interests me when I watch the movie now. After re-watching it four times, I finally saw where the Aurora Amore was coming from. She truly is a a magnificent character. However, my superiore, in alto two have più screen time, which gives them più time to mostra how great they are.
2. Cinderella.
I absolutely adore her! She's been abused her whole life, but she is patient, and remains happy through it. She works hard, despite her stepmother and stepsisters putting her down. She's forced to do things against her will, but she does them anyway. She's a great character and is so enjoyable. She's always positive and happy, and she knows that if she stays that way good things will happen to her. However, I Amore one Disney Princess più than her.
1. Snow White.
I adore her SO MUCH! She's da far my preferito Disney Princess! She's so sweet, but she has sassyness and can be bossy too. She's smart, she doesn't fall for anything people put up against her, she's just naive. She's Ribelle - The Brave as well, someone is trying to kill her, and then she goes and sings a nice positive song about it! I don't find her positivity o sweetness annoying at all, I think its amazing. She's such a phenomenal character. Definitely my preferito Disney Princess!
