My DP lista right now as is, has the following:

preferito DPs (the most relatable to me, and the less problematic for me to admire)

1. Mulan

Mulan was not looking to become a heroine, because she was clumsy and did not fit the strict norms of her society. She manages to defy her clumsy self, and the narrow societal visualizzazioni of women, da bringing honor to her family, and looking for self-actualization.

2. Ariel

Ariel has to come to terms with the fact that she has an abusive father, who is very narrow-minded, and sets up a bunch of rules to mask his own fears of the unknown. In order to grow as a person, Ariel has to defy the narrow-minded rules insituted da her father, o face remaining stunted, passive, and unable to think for herself.

3. Rapunzel

A modern derivative of Ariel, Rapunzel has some of Ariel's same passion and determination to remain open-minded. Rapunzel has to defy her abusive pseudo-parent, o remain a passive victim who is being lied to for the false claim "of safety and security."

4. Merida

A modern derivative of Mulan, this girl is initially più concerned for her own future than that of her parents. Instead of wishing to bring them honor ( a Mulan trait), Merida wants her own way. In the end, Merida grows to understand that honoring your family and self-actualization actually go hand-in-hand.

5. Pocahontas

Pocahontas is a unique character among the DPs, because her focus is on preserving the earth and her natural environment. This girl is one of only two diplomats in the DP line (the other being Mulan), who decide at their own risk to defy military orders. ( Mulan takes the canon and fires at a mountain instead of at Shan-Yu; instead of remaining in camp, Pocahontas runs up in front of English pistole and Native American club and throws herself ontop of a hostage). Pocahontas gets points from me, for not having such a narrow midsection on her lithe form, and for her complete focus on finding a peaceful coexistence with strangers.

DPs that I Don't Mind Having Around ( less relatable to me, but still sweet with great morals)

6. Jasmine

This girl does not wait for someone to tell her what she thinks of the common people. She jumps the barca and meets one for herself (talk about gumption). gelsomino believes that one's station in life does not define them. I could not agree more.

7. Cinderella

Hard-working without being obsessive about the need for hard work, and hoping against hope that one giorno her abuse will end...Cinderella is one of the most patient and iconic figures in the whole DP line. Of course, I loved her as a child, and I still like her/love her now. That won't change.

8. Belle

The Canto bookworm, with a dream of castles and adventure...does end up in a castello and on an adventure that pits her face-to-face with her former "supposed wants." After agreeing to go in her father's stead, and suit the Beast's abusive whims ( she's selfless), Belle gradually learns that life is its own adventure. I think Belle stops thinking that libri are translatable to life in all instances.

9. Aurora

One of the charming DPs, who is largely ignored because everyone's focus is on Phillip o Maleficent. Still, in what few moments we see of her, Aurora has poise, charm, is witty and tactful, and has a sly wish for something spectacular to happen to her one day. And it does.

10. Snow White

Honestly, te can't hate on Snow White without looking like a dork. I mean, the girl is but fourteen, cute as a button, and has più optimism than sunshine on a cloudy day. She's a trifle bossy in her mothering tendecies, but she is very gracious and mannerly all the time. Yes, in my view, the first DP in the Disney line is rock solid.

11. Anna

People complain that she's so clueless she's annoying and that can't be overlooked. Well, it can...because Anna goes the "nth" mile to try to reconcile with her estranged sister. Anna even dies trying to preserve the fragile relationship she has with her sibling. Yes, I've changed my mind on Anna. She is right behind Belle and Mulan in the "selfless" category.

DPs Who Upset Me ( I feel either iffy o angry toward them every time I see them)

12. Tiana

Tiana takes the hardworking girl thing seriously, which is fine--- but she doesn't have a counterbalance to it. She's obsessive, and hard work is her obsession. I respect her goal of wanting her own restuarnt, but it does matter to me when she sneers at other people's dreams as being inferior to hers. That's why she's down here.

13. Elsa

Elsa has poise. The effort to keep herself calm and collected under pressure must be appreciated...but when Elsa blows her fuse... she blows her fuse. I find that Elsa is the most troubling DP of them all, because she believes in her own "passivity" and that her "lack of freedom" will save everyone else. This is an ill-begotten notion from her parents and some trolls, and it shows. I wanted Elsa to stop being such a coward, and interact with Anna long enough to tell her what was wrong. But Elsa decides to push people away out of her mammoth fears about hurting them. Pushing others away becomes Elsa's solution to everything--- even a freaking winter she caused. The answer wasn't to push her sister away...but da the time Elsa figures this out, Anna is already an ice cube. I started off feeling sorry for Elsa, but I don't feel sorry for her now. Elsa was passive until her sister literally died in front of her. Now, passivity is something that is very subjective. Some people will appreciate it a lot, while others won't. I find that passivity is only good in small doses. Elsa takes passivity to the extreme. So that is why I really don't like her. Elsa could have done much più than she did to correct her mistakes. Waiting until the last minuto to solve a problem is an awful technique that becomes a major headache down the line.

Okay. This is my DP lista for now. Thanks for reading.

Hi guys, I am currently watching a scene from The cigno Lake ballet. I actually notice a number of similarities between the popolare ballet and Disney's retelling of The Little Mermaid. Since some Ballet Company has tragic endings, I will also cover on the original Hans Christian Anderson's novel in this article!

The Story

Both stories revolve around 2 young heroines and how they meet their fate, Odette is actually a young girl who was suddenly turn into a cigno upon meeting Rothbart, the evil sorcerer.
Now upon seeing this, it reminded me of when Ursula turns Ariel a human after she storms out...

The classic princesses are the heroines of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, Cenerentola and Sleeping Beauty. This 3 Film were made between 1937 and 1959, and they are the only "official" princesses made da Walt Disney.

In the recente years we have seen an evolution on the female characters after them, but are they really as bad as they seem? They aren´t.

The 3 Film were made when women had less rights than men, and it was obviously a different mentality, but that doesn´t mean the characters itsef are sexist, they just live in sexist societies.

Snow White: Many people criticize Snow White for being...

10. Merida fighting Fergus and Elinor fighting Mor'Du

Merida fighting Fergus was a brief fight, it was just her stopping him from killing Elinor. The excitement doesn't really start until Mor'Du comes in and is getting ready to kill Merida then Elinor goes full on mama orso on him. The reason I like this scene so much...

 Team Belle?
Team Belle?
Hi guys, I'm going to be Scrivere why I felt that Cenerentola is better than Beauty and the Beast. No, it's not their animated counterparts, I'm referring to their respective live-action counterparts.

The Characters

In Cinderella, the titolo character's role was expanded unlike her animated counterpart. Her character development has significantly improve and I'm very happy about it, because we get to più about Cenerentola and how she got her trademark name. Which is taken from the original fairy-tale!
Whereas in Beauty and the Beast, they actually copycat the animated feature, Belle's and the...

This articolo is similar to MaidofOrleans' articolo but it has a unique twist. I started Scrivere mine a few days before she postato hers. So don't worry I'm not stealing her idea o anything. Plus she knows it's different from hers. We talked about it in her article's commento section.

Different perspectives - my past memories, my mum's memories, memories involving a friend, other fandom perspective and recente points of view.

Feel free to use my idea to make your own version if it inspires you. Just make sure te credit me please for the original idea.
