I like both, but the original has been watched and loved for generations. I don't see the remake having the same effect.

I watched the original right before seeing the remake so it was fresh in my mind. I'd forgotten how good it actually was. Sure, the Tom and Jerry scenes could have been shorter, but that was a minor problem to me.

Ella in the remake is given more depth and understandable motives, it is visually more impressive, the soundtrack is better, and it doesn't have annoying talking nice as major characters.

Both are absolutely beautiful, I love how the live action gives us a lot more back story and development - however, the original will always be a classic and one of my all time favourite Disney movies ^_^
