Mine's soon too and though I've been hurt a lot by my grade, I will still go because there are some friends I would like to day goodbye to.

But in your case, it's your decision. I don't know what's up with why wouldn't you want to go (I only can guess) but I think you could have a good time, remembering good times with your classmates, and friends. But like I said it's up to you.

i'm only 14 and not understand this alredy "big"persons feeling but this year i finished 7th grade and everyone just go.To other schools i just must stay @my school because my parents want's to.Anyway.This is good to have a night like that.we even not have something.Maybe you will meet them after year 1-2 or 10 and then you will talk how fun was in prom.Or you just will have a story to say to your childrens*faceplams*I again start to talk like grandmother.Anyway.You know best.But this not matter how much you hate someone when you together for a year or more you will feel bad when he leaves:)

I don't know your situation so I can't tell you what to do. I know most people will say go and that's probably the right decision cause maybe later you'll regret you didn't go. you can go and if you don't like it you can leave.. But don't let anyone ruin it for you,, you know,, those things r special.. I didn't get a chance to say proper goodbye to my friends at school cause I got mad at them and didn't go to their party.. I know kinda regret it.. So, don't let it happen to you..
