Out of the 324 people on board Oceanic Flight 815,there are 71 initial survivors (as well as one dog) spread across the three sections of the plane crash. The opening season featured 14 regular speaking roles, making it the secondo largest cast in a currently airing American prime time Televisione mostra behind Desperate Housewives. While a large cast makes Lost più expensive to produce, the writers benefit from più flexibility in story decisions. According to series executive producer Bryan Burk, "You can have più interactions between characters and create più diverse characters, più back...

here's the story line of William Shakespeare's The Tempest:

The sorcerer Prospero, rightful Duke of Milan, and his daughter, Miranda, have been stranded for twelve years on an island, after Prospero's jealous brother Antonio—helped da Alonso, the King of Naples—deposed him and set him adrift with the three-year-old Miranda. Prospero secretly sought the help of Gonzalo and their small and shoddy barca had secretly been upgraded to be più than sea worthy, it had been supplied with plenty of Cibo and water, it had an excellent biblioteca and contained surviving material in case the barca capsized....

"LOST" RETROSPECT: (2.09) "What Kate Did"

Kate Austen has to be one of the most divisive characters on the ABC series, "LOST". The character has generated some very extreme reactions from the show's fans. The latter have either loved her o hated her. I had harbored a good deal of dislike toward Kate, myself for a long period. However, my dislike stemmed from the writers' handling of her character and a good number of the fans' attitude toward the mistakes and crimes she had committed. A good example of this attitude could be found in the general reaction to the Season Two episode called (2.09)...

(2.07) "The Other 48 Hours" is the 31st episode of "LOST" that aired on November 16, 2005. This episode featured the Tail Section passengers of Oceanic Air Flight 815 and the story of their first forty-eight (48) days on the island. A controversy popped out from nowhere in this episode and it featured a fellow survivor named Nathan, whose death led to a barrage of criticism aimed at another character – Ana-Lucia Cortez, portrayed da Michelle Rodriguez.

"LOST": The Death of Nathan

The precedente episode, (2.06) "Abandoned" ended with the kidnapping of one of the Tail Section survivors, stewardess...

The advert that made me started watching LOST...
The giorno was the 10th of August 2005. Lost Season 1 had started in Britain. I never knew I would be hooked to a TV mostra like this and I really didn't think about it!
Lets start of why I started to watch it. Everyone should be aware of the famous link for LOST. I saw it when flicking through the channels. I flicked over to Channel 4 and saw some people dancing around on a beach. I was and still am a major Lord Of The Rings fan and when I saw Dominic Monaghan in the advert, I had to watch it. Many magazines had articoli wrote how good it was but I never paid much attention to it. Soon as I knew...

"LOST" RETROSPECT: (1.01-1.02) "The Pilot"

The pilot episode of some of my preferito Televisione series have rarely impressed me . . . if not at all. There are a few exceptions to the rule. And one of those exceptions happened to the be pilot episode for ABC-TV's "LOST".

Created da J.J. Abrams, Jeffrey Leiber and Damon Lindelof, "LOST" aired on Televisione for six seasons, between 2004 and 2010. As many fan know, "LOST" told about the survivors of a commercial passenger plane crash on a mysterious South Pacific island, while flying between Sydney and Los Angeles. While Televisione viewers got to...

Josh Randall as Nathan in 'The Other 48 Days'
For some time now, we've just accepted that Nathan (season 2, episode 7 Tailie from 'The Other 48 Days') is Canadian and that Ana Lucia merely had 'the wrong guy'.
I'm asking the question... Who is Nathan really?
On several re-watches of the episode, I started to realize there was a lot più going on than I originally thought.

One thing that's important to remember is LOST's Canada deception!

It's well known that EVERY other reference to Canada o being Canadian on Lost (and there are many), is indicative of deception.

It stands to reason that Nathan may not actually be Canadian at all, o if he...

"THE DECONSTRUCTION OF DR. JACK SHEPHARD"

I have a confession to make. I must be one of the few viewers of television’s "LOST" who does not dislike the series' lead character, Dr. Jack Shephard. Before anyone makes the assumption that he is a preferito character of mine, let me make one thing clear. He is not. But for some strange reason, I do not dislike Jack.

For the past three o four seasons, many "LOST" fan have ranted consistently against Jack’s faults. Mind you, he is not the only flawed character in the series. In fact, most of the major charactes seemed to possess some very serious...

Daniel is Ellie aka Eloise Hawking's child. She is in LA, she's private, she can command time, and his rat's name was Eloise. Widmore may be the father but this is not certain. Eloise left the Island to have Daniel. She continued to work for the Others in her little hatch in LA.

Miles is Marvin Candle aka I-change-my-name-every-five-freaking-seconds' child. They're both Asian and kind of jerks. Candle sent Miles away because the Others wanted to take him because he was special in that he can commune with the dead. Miles was brought up in foster care o da a cruel relative making him callus....

FAN PERCEPTION OF ANA-LUCIA CORTEZ

I have a confession to make. I did not watch the ABC series “LOST” from the beginning. In fact, I did not start watching the series until (2.02) “Adrift”, the secondo episode of Season Two. However, I could barely maintain interest in the show, until the Season Two episode, (2.04) “Everybody Hates Hugo”.

To be honest, there was nothing particularly special about that episode. But there was one scene that really made me sit up and notice. This scene featured a moment in which Tail Section survivor Ana-Lucia Cortez punched James “Sawyer” Ford....

 Aaron Littleton
Aaron Littleton
On February 4, 2009, ”LOST” aired an episode called (5.04) ”The Little Prince”. In this episode, former fugitive Kate Austen discovered that that someone knows the secret of Aaron Littleton’s true parental lineage. When I first learned about this episode, I found myself wondering if the series would finally address the moral consequences of the Oceanic Six’s lie about Aaron. It did . . . on a very limited scale.

As everyone knows, Australian survivor, Claire Littleton had dato birth to an infant son named Aaron on the castaways’ 41st giorno on the island. While on the run from the...

The eighth episode of "LOST"'s Season Four, (4.08) "Meet Kevin Johnson", featured the backstory of one of the original Flight 815 passengers, Michael Dawson. Back in Season Two, he had left the survivors' camp to cerca for his missing son, Walt, who had been kidnapped da a group of mysterious people called the Others. Desperate to get his son back, Michael left the Losties' camp and conducted his own search. Unfortunately, he ended up captured. The Others gave him a choice - either help them capture four of the castaways and find a way to release their captured leader, Ben Linus, o never...

I hope Season Five says goodbye to flashbacks
I hope Season Five says goodbye to flashbacks
As link pick told us, the producers want to get rid of the word "flash" in flashback. This leaves us all wondering, how on Earth are they going to tell this story without flashbacks? That's just the way Lost is. It's their thing.

But, when we think about it, do we really need them anymore? We know più then enough about each character (did we really care what Jack did in Spingapore? That Charlie ha rubato, stola stuff to buy heroin? That Juliet was hitting Goodwin? That Kate was married?), so I don't think I'm going to miss flasbacks. Flashforwards, however, are a different story. What's going to happen...

TV TROPES AND MICHAEL DAWSON

While Leggere the TV TROPES site on Heroic BSOD for Live Action Televisione series, I read this passage about the Michael Dawson character from "LOST":

"Let's face it, Michael's death was the best thing that happened, because, well, his character wasn't all that useful, other than being an in-universe joke on why some people really shouldn't be parents.".

The articolo earlier made this commento about the fans' reaction to Michael:
