The room went quiet. I could hear Michael's light breathing over the too of the men who were sat opposite Michael. I peeped out from under the tavolo to see what was going on. I saw about 12 guys, 11 dressed in black Suits and 1 dressed in a grey one. I was assuming the grey-suited guy was the main guy. I saw Michael, he was looking a little nervous but professional. I saw one of the men stand up, leaning on the tavolo with his hands.
"So, what do te want from us?" the guy asked, with a yell. Michael now looked angry. Michael stood up.
"You know what I want, I want te to back off!" He yelled back. He was looking at the man until his vision was moved over to the black-suited man standing up.
"Look, punk, we ain't backing off. We got a good thing going here. We tell the paps all the stuff we know about te and te say NOTHING." he said, using his finger to mime the act of zipping his lips together. Michael looked furious.
"But it's all lies! Why would te do this to me?! I was so nice to you! I let te stay in my house, I gave te a home, te worked for me, each and every one of you, and what do I get back? Lies and humiliation! I don't want it!" Michael screamed. I now knew what was going on. These guys had been working for Michael and had lied to the media about what they saw Michael do while they worked for him. I decided I would let it be known I was there. I crawled out from under the tavolo and spoke up.
"Why are te doing that to Michael?!" I yelled. Everyone was fixated on me, especially Michael, who was looking a mixture of guilty, angry, and worried.
"Look kid, you're what? 7 years old?.." one of the men said, before I interrupted, "I'm nearly 15! And te still haven't answered! Why are te doing this to Michael?!" I yelled again. Michael walked over to me and pushed me back gently.
"Becky, don't worry about it, it's cool.." He whispered to me. I gave the men a dirty look and then back at Michael.
"So this is why te didn't want me here is it?" I asked Michael outright. The men laughed.
"You didn't wanna bring the kid?!" one of the men joked. Michael looked over at the man.
"Stay outta this! I'll talk più later! C'mon Becky, C'mon!" Michael called me. I walked sheepishly behind as we exited the room.
Michael was upset with me after that, but più upset with himself.
"Why did te come Becky? I told te to stay home!" Michael gently scolded me. It wasn't a cruel scolding, più of a 'I want your safety to come first' sort scolding.
"I wanted to know what te do when I'm not with you.." I admitted. Michael looked at me with a confused expression.
"Why?" he asked. I looked down.
"Because I found it intriguing.. I never saw your business side before, I thought it was a simple business meeting.. guess I was wrong.." I frowned. Michael smiled.
"Ok.. I understand now.. But anyway.. I never wanted te to see that, that's why I wanted te to stay home.." Michael told me.
"Why did that happen Michael, why didn't te tell me?" I asked.
"That's not important right now. What's important is that te never speak of it, please?" Michael begged. I nodded my head nervously.
"Why did te go there if that was going to happen?" I asked.
"Those guys have been lying about me, they tell the media stuff about me that is a complete lie!" Michael told me. He placed his head in his hands and looked down. I looked at him.
"It'll be ok Michael.." I tried to comfort him. He looked up, tears in his eyes.
"I never wanted te to see me like this.." Michael told me.
"It's ok.. I'm sorry about coming too.." I apologised. Michael wiped his eyes and looked at me.
"Don't be sorry. It's my fault, I shouldn't have left te on your own, that was selfish of me." Michael apologised back.
"It's ok Michael.." I smiled. He hugged me tightly and we stayed like this all the way home in the back of the limo.

Michael and Quincy sat in the room, listening to the tapes that were recorded just a few hours ago. It was unclear what Quincy thought, but Michael felt the grown up and disco feel it had. " This is gonna sell." He mumbled excitedly. Quincy nodded in agreement before standing up. " ciao Mike, I gotta go, my wife Peggy is waiting for me. And so is her gamberetto, gamberetti gumbo. See ya later Funky." He left.
Now I was alone, with nobody to be found. So, I packed up everything and left. Mother was probably get worried, so I called my driver to get me home, since my car was in the negozio getting repainted.
