Initially. Until the bullets run out. Cause everywhere outside of RPs if you got a gun and know how to use it, scythes and swords generally dont mean that much. Particularly if you have a big enough gun.

Eh, true enough but once the bullets are done then so is the gun. Especially if there are others that are competing for the same resources (ammunition, big guns, food, etc).

Scythe!! I love scythes so much!!!! Plus, to kill a zombie, u gotta get it in the head, could stab it through the brain. I'd also use guns, if I could find any.

Kill a guy, steal his weapons, kill another guy, steal his weapons, etc. So that way you have a line up for when the bullets are gone.

So you swich the big guns out with one that could possibility be nearly empty after they get done shooting at you in order to do the same. Though I do see if one is skilled enough, one won't have to worry about wasting ammunition. So conclusion, always carry a "Plan B" weapon. Though initially taking up other weapons would be a reasonable option as well, minus the downside of extra weight.

A scythe would actually be really effective :D

Why ARE YOU MAKING ME CHOOSE?!!

Tell you the reason why:

Scythe: I've never seen anyone in real life wielding a scythe and im pretty sure they're rare as fuck/ not even produced by normal, everyday security stores. Personally, I don't think I'd even find one in the first place.

Firearms (what I chose): guns are much more accurate once you get the hang of it. It's much more realistic to find guns in the world we live in now, and by using ammo efficiently I think I'd be ok for a few months. When the ammo runs out, I'll resort to fire axe, machete, daggers or even crossbow(nice range weapon), I would find myself a crowbar as well, those are pretty useful when it comes to bashing heads and unlocking doors.

Swords: hmm, don't know how I feel about swords, I'd imagine them to be quite heavy and hard to find(at least from where I live). Maybe.

I'll side with firearms, mostly because of the factors of advantage. I mean, there are close range, mid-range, long-range, and explosive weaponry when it comes to firearms so I would render them more useful. Well until, as you stated Liquidz, the ammo grows scarce. I guess I would be more liable to begin with firearms and have a few side-survival equipment as well just in case that happens.

Either firearms or swords. I'm afraid I'd kill myself with the sword... lol. But I didn't pick scythe becuase I'm not stupid.
