Jailbreak o no jailbreak? :/

hmmm
I really want to jailbreak my ipod touch which will give me access to apps that mela, apple hasn't detto ok to,full costomization options,and be able to install unsigned pirated software.

but...
the downside is that it isnt completely ok..
mela, apple doesn't let us do things like this for a reason.
once te jailbreak your device its open to malware and viruses,it can become a bricked device (where te are forever unable to use it)i could loose my warranty,and new aggiornamenti won't get to me very quickly...

I just want to know..do te think it's worth it?
