to be perfectly honest the only reason why I wear a bra is because if I didn't my nipples would show through my shirt.

Not a girl, but I came here to say that technically, they aren't. They can be detrimental, actually. From what I hear, it makes the breast sag faster because it makes the muscles weak or something.

On the contrary, they get saggier with a bra," Basically denying the breasts natural freedom makes them less able to support themselves with age. On top of that they are just itchy, and tight, and uncomfortable. I'm not saying this because "omg patriarchy and oppression." They literally do more harm than good. And you have to spend money on them. Legit the only reason to use them is to stop 'bouncing' or whatever.

^Although as a person with relatively big boobs, the thing is, while that is true, they really do bounce a lot and without them a lot of nipples would be poking through the shirt. Running with a regular bra hurts enough with the bouncing, I cant imagine going without one.

^^Maybe they do contribute to sagging lol. But like riku said... going faster than a brisk walk without a bra is just ouch. Going up and down stairs is ouuuch.

Being flat chested I don't rly care about functionality.
But sport bras are my thing and they look nice :v

I'm not saying that they aren't useful. I do agree that they help when going for runs and when doing sports and the like. But if you're just gonna be at home or do g things that don't require physical effort I personally don't see the point. Other than hiding nipples I guess.
