ciao there, during the first 4 seasons of south park Matt and Trey used Kennys deaths as a running gag however they had to keep coming up with ways to kill him and eventually they resented the character so they decided to off him permanently in season 5 but people liked the little guy too much and they realised how important he was to the mostra so they brought him back in season 6
