Some critical points in the development of Rick Riordan's manipulative Scrivere style are easily apparent in the Mark of Athena. The majority of the plot consistently backs up my past theories, (see my articolo Rick Riordan) and manages to suggest that Rick holds even più control over his readers minds than I had ever imagined.

Strategies Used To Keep Readers On Their Toes:

1. Increase in tension between characters

2. Added complications to plot

3. Withholding information for future surprises

4. Cliffhangers

5. Frustrating moments and characters to give the reader a stronger emotional standing

Ways He has us under his control:

1. His Scrivere is used to keep us content while making us dependent on it.

2. We know a lot about him and Amore his writing, while he has no idea who we are giving him ultimate advantage over us

I expected all of this, however he still manages to surprise me. I knew there would be a great deal of Percabeth tension with Annabeth's job. But I did not expect him to go as far as to have Percy and Annabeth fall down a one way portal to Tartarus. being a sucker for all of the things I mentioned I am naturally extremely in distress over everything.

Disclaimer: Mr. Troller [Rick Riordan] owns these characters. I WANT LEO. </3 D8

Dedication: The UK cover of the Mark of Athena. As Tracy detto on the wall: "Percy and Jason look constipated." Voila, this one shot is born. So don't ask other than that where this idea came from- just- don't.

Leo woke up in his bunk in his ship, the Argo II. He had decided that the number of caffeinated drinks were probably NOT healthy after fifteen cups, and had crashed out with his legs hanging off one end of the bunk. His friends...
