Chapter 13: And so we wait..
This chapter is a little short, due to a large school workload.
Jacob sat beside me on the couch. I had noticed that he didn't enjoy the room that much either. I decided i should change out of my clothing, might as well be comfortable. I squeezed Jacobs hand lightly;
"I'll be right back" I stood up. He urgently looked up at me and then lightly pulled me back down beside him.
"No, your staying here. Im not risking anything, not this time." I looked at him, I could tell he was never going to let that night go. The night alex took me, I shuddered at the memory. Jacob put his arms around me;"I'll keep te safe, he wont lay a hand on you" He promised.
"Jacob, Im not leaving the room.." He ignored my protest. "Jacob, I'll be fine, I'm just changing"
I attempted to break free of his hold, which as te can guess failed misreably. "Jake? I promise i won't be long".
He sighed and then let me go. I skipped off into my room. I carefully put away the shoes and the dress. I continued into my drawres and pulled out a pair of jeans and a tank top. I slipped those on. I then headed into the bathroom, unclipped my hair and carefully wiped off my make-up. Just as i went to put my hair clip away i heard Jacob;
"Nessie!" His urgent voice called,
"Jake" I rushed into the living room "What's wrong?"
He quickly walked over to me and held me protectivly, "Thier close, too close."
"Like, in the city?"
"Like in the building."
"No, they cant be that close! My mother said.."
"She detto they would try but no promises could be made.. It's alright though, remember my promise"
I nodded slightly while holding onto him, I felt my pulse lower and my cuore drop. Was i moments away from death? No.. No i couldn't be. Suddenly a knock on the door broke through the tension. I felt Jacbs neck snap up. The banging seemed to echo through the whole room;
"Are te expecting anybody nessie?" I heard Jacob say, restraining himself,
"No, i don't beilive so.." I wasn't about to chance Jacob getting hurt, i quickly broke free of his hold,
"Nessie!" i heard Jacob protest but i didn't listen, I opened the door;
"Oh, Ms. Cullen! Were have te been? " I heard the security guard boom "When te weren't there we figured somthing had happened.."
I put on a smile, "Nothing to worry about, Just a visitor"
The security guard raised his eyes to examine Jacob who was right behind me. He could tell somthing was off, the way Jacob stood so protectivly over me.
"And everything is fine?" He repeated once more
"Of course" I detto nodding.
"Very well then, Have a goodnight Ms.Cullen"
I slowly closed the door and turned to face Jacob;
"Renesmee, are te crazy!? What if that was-" His voice broke off
"Well, It wasn't. And we're both fine. Jacob, i'm not going to sit here and let my family take all the risks, I'm just not. I can't and-"
"Nessie" He whispered. He held my face in his hands; "We do it to protect you, and not because your afraid. Nessie, te can't very well protect yourself. I Amore te too much to lose you."
I nodded carefully, He pulled me in and hugged me tightly. I sat with Jacob, wrapped in his arms mindlessly watching t.v. My phone started to play it's taunting Musica from my clutch.
"I'll be right back" I said, baciare Jacob on the cheek. I walked in my room and picked up my clutch. I held the phone in my hand and walked back into the livingroom.
"Who is it?" Jacob asked
"I... don't know. The caller is blocked. Mustn't be important." I put the phone into my pocket and sat back with Jacob. Soon after the taunting noise played once more; I looked at Jacob, he nodded. I picked up the phone.
"Hello?" I Asked a bit warily
"I'm Back" A voice rang from the other side of the phone. I let the phone slip from my hands and fall to the ground. Everything was silent, i felt Jacobs urgent voice break through repeating my name;
"..Nessie, Nessie, Renesmee!?"
He was shaking me lightly ; " He- he's here."
Jacob quickly sat me on the divano and told me to stay put.
"Where are te going!?" I asked urgently as he left out the door
"To kill some wolfes" He aswered
"Are te crazy! you'll get yourself killed!"
He stopped for a moment and walked back towards me; "Nessie, it will be fine, i will be fine.."
He leaned down and kissed me. I didn't want to let him go, but i must. He broke free and left, He didn't say goodbye. I felt hope, maybe he was going to come back. I suddenly heard the doors open once more. Rosalie rushed in;
"Renesmee, are te alright?"
"Where are the others?"
"With Jacob.. We didn't expect them to come this far, so were leading them back away from the city.. I have to go now, you'll be safe."
I sighed, I really hoped that nobody would get hurt. Except for Alex and his pack at least.. Maybe i should go back with rosalie. But before i could ask she was gone. After pacing back and forth for a moment i decided to call Jacob;

I Rushed my way out of the hotel. It hurt, having to leave Nessie there but if it could keep her safe..I saw rosalie pass me as i exited the hotel. I couldn't wait to get my hands on thoose damn mongrels. I picked up the phone and called Bella;
"Bella?"
"Jake, what's wrong? Is Renesmee alright?"
"Yes, rosalie is with her now. Thier in the city, we have to lead them away" I was already running now, Looking for the closest forest to phase in,
"We'll start to track them down meet us at ..." She gave me directions to a field not too far from where i was.
I knew Edward wouldn't be too happy of my leaving Renesmee, but i wanted to kill that kid, Alex. I want to know he can never lay a hand on her again, i want Nessie to be safe.
As soon as i reached a forest right outside of the city, I phased. I started running as quickly as i could. The strong wind pierced through my pelliccia as i found my way around the tree's. I quickly spotted the opening i was to meet the Cullens at..I thought about checking up on Renesmee, but she should be fine.
It was so dark out, but my eyes quickly adjusted to the lighting. I heard somthing;
"Bella?" I called, yet nobody answered. Just then i felt myself being tackled; da a wolf. I quickly got back up on my legs and charged at one of the wolfes. But then two più showed up, then two turned into eight. I was over powered, but i could not give up.
I started to attack the one, the one that mattered; Alex. Before i knew it i had been pumeld. I lay there on the ground; Phased back like the others. Had i broken somthing? That wasn't about to stop me! I quickly got up, but was soon pushed back down. I kept thinking about Renesmee, Was she safe? I heard them talking;
"She'll be here soon.." One of them detto with a sly smile.
"Leave Renesmee out of this!" I shouted. No. I could not brak my promise, I had to protect her. Just then i saw alex aproach my lifeless body.
"Now, Now" he detto softly "You'll see her soon enough"
"No! Dont lay a hand on her o i swear!" Just then i heard my phone ring, i tried to wriggle it lose, but they had gotten to it first.
"Ah, Look who it is.. I bet she'll be happy to rush down here if we tell her your hurt"
"Leave her out of this!"
I saw him pick up the phone, He masked his voice quite well;
"Hello Renesmee?.. I'ts seth, Jacob he is hurt bad we'll meet te just outside of town.." He gave her direections then hung up the phone.
"NO!" I screeched one più time, I stood up trying to phase, but i couldn't. I was too injured. I was instantly knocked out.
