Chapter 2 : Birthday.

I was trying desperately to not let myself fill my mind with hope and excitement.I was imagining how we would celebrate.School zoomed da quickly. I paid hardly any attention to teacher.My mind was not at school..but far away,at home.Once class ended I ran home as fast as I could.I ran inside the lovely house and hugged my mother..Suddenly, I noticed my mom held me in a tight embrace.Something just wasn't right. "Sweetheart, Edward, your father couldn't make it today.He had to leave early." , Mother said. I felt horrible.Like something was clawing away at my chest. Why? Just once, I wished my father could be here on my birthday.He was always busy! I tried fighting the rage that built inside of me, as tears poured down my face.Mother hugged me even closer. "Oh, Edward!", she exclaimed as she held me tight. "I really miss father.", I whispered. She stroked me hair and face as she slowly hummed my preferito lullaby. Martha then came in with the most delicious cake in the world.I held my breath concentrating on my only wish . I am officially 11 years old. I really wish to have my family together.To be one big family once again. Mother smiled and kissed me while, Martha stood there,laughing her distinctive,faded blue eyes wide with excitement.I couldn't help but laughing with her. I hoped my wish would finally come true. At this point, all that matters is my family.Mother and Martha.They are my family. They are my world.

My family and I went camping for the fourth of July. We have been gone since Friday and just got back today.
