10. Discovery
Jacob
I spent the last three days watching the babies, trying to figure out what else they can do. I've descovered that since they have both vampire and werewolf genes, they developed faster than Renesmee did. During an "experiment," I told Casper to sit in another room and try to attack me from across the hall.
The cold wave hit me about three secondi later.
"Daddy, I can't get into Bella's mind!" Karrie once thought to me. They took on Renesmee's habit of calling everyone da their names.
"Karrie, stop trying so hard. Bella has a sheild," I told her.
"Like Jeffery?" Karrie asked, surprised.
"A little. Except Jeffery can turn the powers into his own weapon."
"Ouch, Daddy, Casper got me again!"
"Casper, get in here!" I called out.
A guilty looking Casper sauntered into the room.
"What did te do to Karrie?" I asked.
Casper made a pinching motion. A wide, mischeivious grin appeared on his face. I frowned and shook my head.
"Don't te ever use your powers to hurt people!" I scolded.
Weeks later, they started to talk. As Renesmee made pancakes, I read a Dr. Seuss book to them. Renesmee and I read it to them whenever they asked for it. "Green Eggs and Ham" was their favorite. Just as I began to read the successivo page, a feeble, shy voice recited, "No, Sam I Am, I do not like green eggs and ham."
I looked up to see Jeffery blush with embarrassment when he saw Casper and Karrie look at him in surprise.
"Renesmee, come in here!" I yelled. Nessie rushed out with a plate of chocolate-chip pancakes.
"What is it?" she asked. I looked at Jeffery.
"Hi," he detto shyly. Renesmee screamed, making the bambini jump. She jumped up and down.
"What's wrong with her?" I heard Karrie think. I knelt da Karrie.
"Mothers freak out over everything their bambini do," I whispered. "Ness, calm down."
Renesmee handed us the pancakes. I groaned. One pancake is enough for Casper to make a huge mess. Why is Jasper's almost-double so different from him?
"Casper, if te make a mess, you're taking a bath," I warned. Casper shrugged.
"And a nap right after," I finished. Casper looked straight at me and narrowed his eyes. Wow, that was out of age. Then he suddenly burst into tears.
"Don't hurt Daddy," Jeffery scolded. He had figured out how to work his sheild.
"Jeffery, that's amazing," Renesmee gasped. I saw Karrie roll her eyes.
"He's been throwing the dagger touch at te every night. Jeffery's been sheilding te for days," she informed me. Casper started to scream when he heard what she was thinking.
"Stupid!" was the first word that came out of Casper's mouth.
"Okay, definately a nap," Renesmee decided. Karrie and Jeffery followed her as Casper screamed in her arms.
I heard a scream. I ran into the room to find Renesmee on the ground, picking herself up.
"Jeffery!" I called.
"Here, Daddy," his feeble voice came from the closet. I heard footsteps approach and soon Mark was in the room.
"Karrie!" he yelled. I looked up to see her floating in midair. Renesmee screamed and tried to reach her. I effortlessly reached for her and pulled her down. Then I looked around the room.
"He's not here," Karrie thought. "He got angry. I don't know what happened, just a flash of light and he was gone, leaving Mommy on the ground, me in some kind of air bubble, and Jeffy in a closet."
"Please don't call me Jeffy," Jeffery pleaded, trying to get up from the piles of toys Mark stashed in the closet.
"Magic," Mark whispered. I looked at him.
"What?" I asked.
"Magic. Renesmee, your body is a replica, remember? I made it da magic. Your body holds magic inside it," Mark explained. "I notice that I can recreate this scene through magic. Casper made Jeffery teleport into the closet, pushed down Nessie, and picked up his sister through his mind. It's all done da magic!"
"And I'm guessing the quick development had it's part in this too, right?" I asked. Renesmee coughed.
"Right," Mark whispered. He closed his eyes. "Alice can't see your futures, but I can. I can see Casper has teleported somewhere nearby, I just don't know where. This has caused him to grow at an extraordinary rate. The kids may develop soon. I see Karrie has longer hair already."
I looked at Karrie. About three inches of hair has grown. It was past her shoulders.
"No," Mark gasped.
"What is it?" Renesmee asked.
"The Volturi decided to visit. They want to offer te a spot on their guard. They're headed for Casper."

Edward and I were playing chess, hilariously fun, when I saw an image that did not involve chess pieces. I stiffened; then relaxed. So they liked Isle Renesmee. Good. It WAS my idea, after all.
And suddenly, I saw something that did not make me smile. I sighed and flicked my king over. It wasn't worth it.

Edward was the only one who would play chess with me anymore, mainly because it was fair.
I was a little depressed that there wasn't any wedding to be planned, and I didn't have any new project planned. Then, it hit me. RENESMEE'S CLOSET! Well, I'd already stocked her new house's (Esme had dato them their own house, she'd designed it and everything) mega-sized walk in closet and helped furnish the house, but I could always remodel her closet to look like a boutique!
I smiled in anticipation. I had to go call Esme!
