    "Are te sure?" Jerek asked. "I mean, that sounds a bit-"
    "Weak." Tabra said, filling in the blank.
    "Yes. But, Cyd's right. We have no idea when the fight is, nor where. If this fight happens, they'll spring on us. Not the otherway around. Which means, we wait. We wait for them to bring the fight to us. It doesn't sound brave, but it's smart." Shropee was leaning against the door frame, her arms crossed over her chest. "It's only three in the afternoon, and while I talk to the trainees downstairs, I want Tabra to pick the secondo in command to stand watch, gear them up with night vision goggles, weapons, everything they'll need. Jerek and Cyd, I want te guys to cook me lunch."
    "Okay?" I said, and Tabra left the room.
    "I want breakfast for lunch, so make me eggs, bacon, pancetta affumicata and sausage with toast. Got it? Oh, and I want SunnyD to go with it." She simled, and left the room.
    "Great, Tabra get's the fun part, and we have to cook for her." Jerek got to his feet, and I followed him to the kitchen.
    We started cooking right away, and ten minuti later, we were done, and just as we put the cup of SunnyD and the plate of Cibo down on the counter, Shropee walked into the kitchen.
    "Yay, my food's done." She sat down, and started eating. "Thanks." She detto through stuffed cheeks, and we walked back to Jerek's room.
    Jerek shut the door, his hand on the lock as he turned it slowly. "Now, where were we?"
    "Well," I said, putting my arms around his waist. "I think we were at the part where te were baciare me."
    "No. I think it was più of me getting shirtless and then baciare you."
    Jerek took of his camicia in one fluid motion, and threw it aside.
    "Thanks for the correction." I said, and ran a hand down his bare chest.
    We started for the letto again, and as we fell backwards onto it, it was like we were falling in slow motion. Gracefully, if te must say. I kissed his lips, and he kissed his way down my jaw line. He slide a hand up the back of my shirt, and I pushed his lips back to mine as he undid my bra. Jerek picked me up, repositioned me on the bed, and kissed me some more. I undid his pants, and wrapped my arms around him, giving into the moment. Feeling free. No care for the future. Just wrapped up in the now. Living in the moment.
    And it felt wonderful.
