Vikings Season 3 Cast Photos, Teasers and Preview: Will Ragnar Have Paris? 

‘ Season 3 premiere now just six weeks away, History has released a new cast photo, a piece of key art and a series of teaser videos declaring(/warning?), “The world is ours.”

The logline for the new season reads as follows: “With the promise of new land from the English, Ragnar leads his people to an uncertain fate on the shores of Wessex…. Ever the restless wanderer, Ragnar is searching for something more, and he finds it in the mythical city of Paris. Rumored to be impenetrable to outside forces, Ragnar and his band of Norsemen must come together to break down its walls and cement the Vikings legend in history.”

Season 3 brings back, of course, series leads Travis Fimmel and Katheryn Winnick, as well as Clive Standen (as Rollo), Alexander Ludwig (Bjorn), George Blagden (Athelstan), Jessalyn Gilsig (Siggy), Linus Roache (Ecbert), Gustaf Skarsgard (Floki) and Alyssa Sutherland (Queen Aslaug).

) as Harbard, a wanderer who will have a profound effect on Queen Aslaug, Siggy and Helga, all of whom have had the same dream presaging his arrival in Kattagat; Lothaire Bluteau (

) and Morgane “daughter of Roman” Polanski as Emperor Charles of France and his daughter, Princess Gisla; and Ben Robson as Kalf, Lagertha’s young, secretly calculating second-in-command.

Alexander and Travis look really weird in these.

Travis looks slightly beat up and tired in the picture and there`s a weird look on his face. No Athelstan in the promo photos. I liked the last clip with Katheryn. Really looking froward to this series`return. It`s one of the best shows on TV right now.

Then who’s the guy kneeling in the direct middle of the first photo? Thats Athelstan.

So disappointed he shaved his head!!! NOOOOOOOOO!!! My favorite haircut/style on TV is gone! :( First Drogo and now Ragnar :(

Interesting to see Ragnar holding a cross in the second picture. What would Odin think?

I think it’s Athelstan’s cross. I don’t expect him to survive the season.

Yikes, Ragnar looks quite scary with that shaved head. I guess that tells us a lot about what the new season has in store.
