"What are te going to do?"
"About what?"
"You can't pretend nothing happened, Blaze. Aleksander is out of control, and te need to reign him in."
"I know." The fire-caster tightened his hands on the railing he leaned on, then flexed them, stretching the tight leather of his gloves. "And don't te forget about your own charge, mate."
"Who, Jace?" Seeker scoffed. "He isn't a problem."
"He nearly got himself killed today," Nic argued, "That's not something that should go unaddressed."
Seeker shrugged. "Maybe it would be better if I simply... Relieved him."
The other male gave him an incredulous look out of the corner of his eye. The wind was picking up, ruffling the blonde tufts of hair visible beneath the maroon fedora. His cold eyes were set on something in the distance.
"Declan," he waited for the blonde to look over a him, "I know that at the temple, where te were raised and trained, that things were harsh. But te can't abandon Jace."
"He's a child, he'll get over it."
"No, he won't," Nic assured him. "He trusts you. He would give up his life for you. What would te teach him da doing this? That te can't trust people?"
"You can't. It is better he learns that now."
"If that's how te feel, perhaps I should train him myself." There was a stretch of silence before Declan nodded. "Perhaps."
Nic shook his head in amazement at the man's careless nature. He pushes off the rail, turned his back to the assassin, and took off in a flame fueled da enmity.

"So you're just going to let him leave to D.C.?" Lexi stared at her older brother.
"Yup."
"You're stupid! That's crazy te idiot! He'll get himself killed!"
"No he won't."
"Yes he will Jaime! He'll kill the President, be banned from the Military and THEN die!" Lexi folded her arms across her chest.
"He won't kill the President Lexi, stop daydreaming."
"Then te obviously don't know him."
"Actually I do, but te don't. Dad is going to D.C. for a meeting with House of Representatives, and the President to talk about what was stolen from the Navy." Jaime put his hands in his pockets, staring and his little sister.
"And what makes te think he won't go crazy?"
"Nudge will keep him under control. Trust me." Lexi almost dropped the phone that was in her hand.
"Nudge? I thought she retired."
"Nope, and Jack will be with her. Things will be fine." Jaime opened his wings an soared upwards. "You coming home o what?" Lexi sighed and followed him.
"Yeah."
"Yup."
