How does one maintain their optimism under stressful circumstances?

I know people say exercise helps, but that's what I've been doing, and it doesn't really make a difference. I just stress out while exercising. So much is going on, damage is being done, and staying optimistic is becoming a real challenge. Any advice?

I like alot of the answers, Leggere the Bible is good. I would add praying and asking God to reveal something from the bible that relates to you. Thinking about positive things and the good things in your life also help. Exercise also helps if it's something te enjoy.
One thing I would add that helps me when I'm stressed. For most situations, I can honestly remind myself that the situation will not last forever. It will pass. God Bless you! I hope good things are coming your way. :)

Go to the back of the Holy Bible and look up words that discribe your stress. then turn to the page that te can read about it.

Oh te could try keeping a log, journal, o diary and just write out your problems so te can get them off your chest o te could confide in someone (a friend o a stranger te meet at a park; just tell someone who is nonjudgemental)
