Why is Bleach called Bleach?

I once heard that it's because the titolo is supposed to contrast the black uniforms that the soul reapers wear and since bleach turned everything white it was perfect. I'm not sure I've only heard it from someone else.

Well I wondered this before and dont ask how I came up with these theories. Most were when I was in the doccia o when I was on a ride to cena listening to bleach osts but yeah.....

So my few theories consist of this:

1) So soul reapers are souls send the wandering souls to the soul society and cleanse hollows's souls also sending them to the soul society all in the meanwhile protecting humans.

Okay, now what is bleach. Bleach is a chemical that cleanses out stains from clothing. So soul reapers cleanse hollows like bleach cleanses clothing

2. The contrast of black and white put in the anime. (since te only watched up to episode 30 I will alert you. SPOILER)








































































































































































Okay so onto it. Well we know how Ichigo has a hollow side. Normal Ichigo wears a black uniform and his hollow has the opposite color, white as if it was bleached. Around the end of the 200s he accepts his hollow and Tensa Zangetsu when they fuse and thats how he gets the final getsuga tensho, a strong attack. So da accepting his bleached form and being bleached along with it he became stronger

3. Then to build on the uniform idea that the person above me mentioned, if it was based on the color of the uniform, the Anime would be called Black o white which would be quite boring. Rather than such, bleach implies the color white and seems much più creative than simple black o white

Only pokemon can use colori as titles without sounding lame.

My theory has always been this: The chemical bleach has been known to "destroy anything in it's path" ( like clearing stains, stuff like that) and in the Anime Bleach the Soul Reapers kill Hollows and anything that poses a threat to the human world o themselves, so in a way, they also destroy anything in their path.
