I'm looking for new Anime to watch... Please can someone recommend some to me?

Thank te very much in advance, help will be greatly appreciated...

What I am looking for: plenty of characters that te can get very attached to and a good plot. I couldn't care less about the art. I don't want anything that's just slice of life, o romance, o anything cheesy. Please don't recommend anything with lots of fanservice. Ideally, I like an Anime with a good adventure.

Death Note
One Piece
Yu Yu Hakusho
Naruto (including Shippuden)
Fullmetal Alchemist (the original AND brotherhood)
Attack on Titan
Elfen Lied

Anime I like...

Soul Eater (kind of)
Tales of Symphonia: The Animation
Dragon Drive
Ao no Excorcist

Anime I don't like/hate...

Hunter X Hunter
Fairy Tail
Bleach
Dragon Ball Z
Magi (sort of)

Anime I am considering watching...

Cowboy Bebop
Sword Art Online
Mushishi
