Swamps are categorized as many things. People who were born and raised in such environments often call them home; while others dislike them. Possibly one comment, that anyone will ever admit, is the fact that when it gets dark swamps will be the last place you’ll ever want to visit.

With its murky waters, miles of large swamp trees and plant matter, and predators lurking every corner it is no wonder a lot of people will never dare enter o go through them at night fall. Especially sense one swamp in particular had a horrifying curse.

As the story goes, many years fa a swamp was once ruled da a witch. Sense the swamp was the only place she lived in she would get very angry if she noticed anyone trespassing through her grounds. She tried giving them warnings, but were ignored and kept coming through her lands to fish, hunt gators, o even destroy the surrounding woodlands that led to the swamps. As the months passed the witch became even più furious and decided to take the situation further da performing dark magic.

What she did was that she went out in the darkness, gathered some samples of swamp muck, and brought it back to her hut. Through the night, she performed the longest magical transfusion until finally she had succeeded with her creation. Rising from her boiling pot was the form of a large humanoid-like beast. The witch suddenly caught a foul smell through her nostrils and covered it with her robe. As the hot water from the pot slowly disappeared, the true form of her creation was revealed. She had created a “Muck Beast”, a monster whose entire body is covered with gooey, thick, stinky muck as well as moss.

After creating her first beast, she continued going down to the water’s edge and getting più samples, bringing them to her hut, and using the same touches she did before to create an army of Muck Beasts. When she felt she had enough, she then gave them one important job- to guard the swamplands and keep intruders from coming in. She also detto that if they refused to leave to kill them o eat them at all cost. The beasts understood her orders and each took their route into the darkness. The witch meanwhile laughed with evil as she was relieved for what she did.

When the years passed on, più and più people were reported missing. The community assumed the witch was at hands and vowed to kill her. The former judge, who ran the down however, denied that killing her wasn’t the right way to settle things. Several weeks later, the Muck Beasts soon invaded the local town areas and devoured everyone as well as destroying the entire community.

Sense those tragic times in history, the community became abandoned and all that stood were the remains of old buildings that have been torn and slowly breaking with age. There was however one individual who was exploring the abandoned streets. Many know him as the super shape shifter, but his real name is Kasey. His reasoning for being here was clearly simple.

Knowing the history of the town and what had occurred many years ago, he was doing an investigation cerca as to seeing if the Muck Beasts still existed. Sense they attacked the town no reports of them have been documented. But it’s also because a lot of people who lived closer to the area refused to even step foot through there. Kasey was the only one who dared entered and would try to cerca for the beasts on his own. It didn’t matter to him as he was the one who would be putting an end to it all- if he can that is.

A while later, he had managed to make it to the swamp grounds. Near the entry way was an old wooden signed that had the letters written in what appeared to be red paint. From Leggere it, it said: “Welcome to the swamp. Enter at your own risk.” Leggere the sign it became clear to Kasey that he was on the right track and carefully crawled underneath the barbed fence without cutting himself.

It was a long, slow walk through the darkness. Kasey was making sure that nobody was around o sneaking behind him. His wolf-like ears moved all around so that he could hear every noise that he picked up. So far, no activity was going on as he continued walking slowly through the brush. Later on, he finally arrived at the water’s edge. He once più approached the area slowly while his ears continued to sposta in different directions.

As soon as he approached the water, he stopped in his tracks as his head slowly turned from the left and right. His ears continued moving in the process. He then let out a big sigh as he believed everything was sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza now. He worked up a thirst and decided to drink a little of the swamp water. He slowly lowered his head down as his tongue licks the water’s edge. After getting a good drink, he decided to continue patrolling the swamp edges.

Suddenly, he stopped. He stood very still as he slowly turned his head to the left. The sound of bubbles was heard very clearly in the water. Kasey knew that this would be the moment a Muck Beast would finally appear. To his surprise, he was right. A large shape took form as water flowed off it. This was also followed da a powerful, fowl smell which even ruined Kasey’s senses. A Muck Beast was standing in the water, staring at him with anger. It then let out a loud roar as it slowly walked to him. Kasey knew he wouldn’t be able to fight out here sense there was a good chance he would fall into the water. He quickly raced into the thicket as the beast followed slowly.

Kasey ran through the woods as fast as he could. He knew now that the beasts were able to walk very slowly and that it would be difficult for them to catch up. When he made it an opening, he noticed three più Muck Beasts that were walking around. When they saw him however they stopped and growled. This was then followed da them walking to him. Kasey could try battling them sense this was an opened area and there were no obstacles to get in his way. When one of them approached, Kasey quickly leaped on its right arm as he tried biting it. It wasn’t much effective as its entire body was made of dried muck and swamp grass. Plus after biting its skin, Kasey got a terrible taste.

The wound on the monster’s right arm slowly healed. Kasey could just watch them as they slowly made their way to him. Sense fighting them was useless, there was only one thing he could do- run. With that being made he quickly darted into the woods. The three Muck Beasts followed slowly behind. As he ran, no matter where stopped o no matter where he went to another of the Muck Beasts were there, waiting to capture him. He started running out of breath as there was no use running anymore. Luckily, he found a cave up on a small collina and quickly got himself inside.

With the Muck Beasts still out searching for him, he was still hidden inside the cave. He did what he could to come up with a better plan. He knew he couldn’t fight them due to their fowl odor, the bad taste of their skin, and the fact they had super strength compared to his own. He spent a good while trying to come up with a plan that would eliminate all of the Muck Beasts. Just when he was giving up, he finally had an idea. His plan was to try rallying all of the beasts together and burn them to a crisp. There was only one thing that stood in the way- if he was to burn them, there was a pretty nifty chance he would set the entire woods on fuoco as well.

Luckily, there was a backup. He recalled the abandon town that was destroyed da the Muck Beasts themselves and decided he would try rallying them up there. Getting them to leave the woods would be easy sense in the history story, they did manage to venture into town and killed everyone as well as destroy it all. With his plan now in full effect Kasey quickly got out of the cave and quickly ran up on superiore, in alto of the cave as he let out a very loud howl, which echoed through the entire forest. Every one of the beasts looked up as they listened to his howling. This told him that he was somewhere within the swamp and that they should get to him right away.

Kasey then quickly left the swamp and entered the woods once again, continuing howling. He did this to get every one of the beast’s attention. When they were rallied, he then made his way out of the woods and into the abandon town area. Slowly but surely every Muck Beast had came out from the woods and had entered town. They started to cerca for their hostage, but couldn’t find him anywhere. They all looked at each other with confusion.

Suddenly, out into the sky, a very bright light shined the area. The beasts all looked up as they used their arms to cover their eyes. It continued shining until a strange figure descended downward. The beasts watched with surprise. The figure turned out to be a Phoenix, with its feathers covered bright flames. The bird slowly rose its head up, opened its eyes, and then looked downward at the Muck Beasts.

It then became the moment of epic ness when the Phoenix took a deep breath and let out the longest fuoco breath down on the Muck Beasts. The beasts were crying with agony as their bodies began to melt. Puddles of muck filled the entire, barren town. The Phoenix slowly floated down to the ground and looked at the puddles of muck. He then transformed back into a lupo as he looked down at his reflection from the puddles.

Kasey was declared a hero for going down to the area and destroying all of the Muck Beasts that were created da the swamp witch many years ago. There are rumors that the witch is still alive and is now holding a tremendous grudge against Kasey for what he did to her creations. Only time will tell if they will ever collide.
