Canadian pop singer Avril Lavigne stormed her way through the charts with her debut record, Let Go, in 2002 paving way to one of the most well-known names in today's Musica industry cracking out hits like, "Complicated," "Sk8er Boi," "My Happy Ending," and "Girlfriend."
With fan around the globe, support was dato to Lavigne right from the get go when AvrilBandaids.com was founded in April of 2002 making it the first Avril fan site of its kind! Over the years, the fan site has managed to rack up over 160,000 fan and counting. With support from the site from Avril herself, fan feel an honest and genuine connection to the pop princess herself.
Lavigne is currently in the studio working on her fourth record while fan have been eagerly waiting. To tie fan over, a snippet leaked of an older demo recorded da Lavigne from a few years ago. According to close sources, the track namely titled da fans, "Won't Let te Go," will not appear on the fourth record. But that hasn't stopped excited listeners whom are eager to listen to the track in full.
A dedicated Bandaids member started a campaign thread in the active forum asking other fan if they wanted Avril to release "Won't Let te Go," in full. Webmaster Sharifa stated if they managed to reach 10,000 voti she would personally send it to Avril to convince her to release the track in full due to the fan dedicated wishes and overwhelming number of votes.
Quickly, members voiced their support da voting yes, supported a joined Facebook campaign and fan told others to vote on the fan Forums, Twitter, MySpace and Facebook. Other Avril fan sites from around the world voiced their support too for the campaign reaching out to other fan to cast their vote as well. In under 24 hours, they had managed to reach over 1,400 votes. Miraculously, just 5 days later, the campaign had managed to reach the halfway mark with over 5,000 voti from Avril fan around the world.
Currently, they have reached over 6,700 votes! Clearly driven, confident and dedicated, Avril fan are one to come together and get the job done no matter how complicated something might sound. With fingers and toes crossed, fan hope and pray their time and effort, support and voti will be heard from their idol herself.
