This is your third Maxim shoot...and we have to say, they just keep getting sexier!
I'm older and più comfortable with my femininity. The first time I was about 19 and was very nervous. I was più of a tomboy, I guess. I've always had a great time shooting with Maxim. I feel like it gives me my freedom. It's an edgy magazine, so it's cool.
What makes a woman sexy?
Attitude and confidence.
So, a new single and a new album to follow...
I have officially just wrapped the album. I've been working on it for about two and a half years. I've lived a lot, gone through a lot, and put a lot into my songwriting. These songs are very meaningful to me.
A lot of your songs have been about boys. Is that still the case on this album?
This album is the first that is not boy-bashing. [laughs] Is it inspired da my personal relationships? Yes. Inspired da life experiences? Yes. Inspired da experiences in situations with my family and friends? Yes.
What do te think of the new stars who have emerged since your last record, like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Ke$ha?
It's an interesting period in Musica right now, very '80s and beat-driven. A lot of girls are really into their image and costumes and going over the top. I really like Ke$ha. Her songs are fun to party to, and her lyrics are hilarious.
There have been some notable meltdowns of former teen stars. How have te managed to avoid those?
I got here on my own. I came from a small town and grew up in a regular home. I know what I've worked hard for. I've seen a lot of people who have gone a little crazy and who are really into the Hollywood scene. I don't really like to hang out with people like that.
Are te able to play in private?
Well, there are a lot of paparazzi in L.A. The only time I really ever get photographed is if I decide to go out with my Friends to a bar o club, so then it kind of looks like I do that più than I do. The majority of time I stay in.
Do te laugh o get irritated when te see stories about yourself in the tabloids?
te can only laugh at it and roll your eyes because it's like, "Really?" They usually just pull that stuff out of their ass, but I think people know that.
Do te even care what people think of te anymore?
I care, but te can't please everyone. I'm here to create my Musica and give it to the world.
Is there anything te think people would be surprised to know about you?
Yeah-I'm really shy and quiet.
te have some new tatoos since out last shoot. Tell us about them.
[points to forearm] This is ABBEY DAWN-that's my nickname and clothing line. I have a lightning bolt, a Musica note, and a star. [pulls up superiore, in alto to mostra hip] Oh, I had a little stella, star here last time, but now I have a big star. I have about 15 altogether, but they're all small.
te also have a FUCK tattoo on one side of your rib cage.
I got that one two months ago...no, six.
What dating consigli would te give Maxim readers?
I like a classy man, a gentleman who opens the door and gives fiori and always puts the lady first. I'm a little vecchio stile like that.
