Avril Lavigne performs at IHeartRadio Music Village on September, 21, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV
In the bratty voice that, for much of a decade, made her the defiant figurehead of an army of teens who preferred the pop that soundtracked their growing pains be tinged with a little punk-rock danger, Avril Lavigne declares that she still wears the crown. The lyric comes on “Rock N Roll,” the first track on her new album Avril Lavigne. It’s the Canadian songstress’s aggressively weird, epically catchy fifth album. It also might be her best yet.

Much has changed since 2002. Back then, the 17-year-old paired a necktie with a white tank superiore, in alto and sold nearly 17 million copies of her debut...

In September 2011, Avril Lavigne moved from her longtime record label RCA Records to the newly formed Epic Records. With the sposta to the new label, Avril once again received full control on the direction for her music. Musica executive LA Reid also became Avril's new CEO with the record label switch. LA signed Avril on Arista Records when she was sixteen years old, and was also the first person who believed in Avril's vision for her Musica and sound. Now that the two are reunited, LA Reid has been checking up on Avril's progress in the studio. On Saturday night, LA tweeted that it "Felt really good hearing Avril Lavigne in her zone", assuring fan that Avril is working very hard on her album. With LA Reid's stamp of approval, do te think we will get a single as early as successivo month? If not, when do te think we will get to hear the first single?

In July 2008, Lavigne launched the clothing line Abbey Dawn, featuring a back-to-school collection.[12] It is produced da Kohl's, which is the brand's exclusive U.S. retailer. Named after Lavigne's childhood nickname, Abbey Dawn is designed da Lavigne herself.[101][102] Kohl's describes Abbey Dawn as a "juniors lifestyle brand",[12] which incorporates skull, zebra, and stella, star patterns, purples and "hot pinks and blacks". Lavigne, who wore some of the clothes and jewellery from her line at various concerts before its official launch, pointed out that she was not merely licensing her name to the...

A anno ago, Avril Lavigne finished her fourth album — but her label, RCA Records, wasn't interested in an album's worth of introspective, acoustic numbers. "They were like, 'Uh, can te make a new record — something that's più today?'" says Lavigne, still sounding pissed as she sips white wine in New York's Plaza Hotel. "It really hurt my feelings when they didn't say, 'We're proud of you.'" On Goodbye Lullaby, Lavigne, 26, meets the label halfway: Softer songs like "Remember When" and "Darlin" share spazio with throbbing productions da Swedish hitmaker Max Martin — including "Wish You...

Avril Lavigne skateboards in her garage.
The ‘Sk8er Boi’ hitmaker is so busy with her career she barely has time to go out and mostra off her skills, so instead she has cleared a spazio in her home to enjoy her hobby.
She admitted: “I sometimes skateboard at my house. This might sound really strange and bizarre, but I skateboard in my garage.”
While Avril has little time to skateboard, the 26-year-old singer has recently taken up surfing, which she enjoys because of the similarities to her other hobby.
She said: “I’ve started surfboarding a little bit. Surfboarding is like skateboarding,...

[Rolling Stone] Avril Lavigne Cuts Loose in 'What the Hell'

"What the Hell," the first single from Avril Lavigne's fourth album Goodbye Lullaby, has the same magical balance of brattiness and earnestness as earlier hits like "Sk8er Boi," "Complicated" and "Girlfriend." This time Lavigne is Canto about wanting to cut loose and misbehave after years of playing it safe. The video gets the tone just right, matching her lyrical sentiment to some goofy sitcom antics.

1. What The Hell

What The Hell is the official comeback song for Avril Lavigne after her three-plus anno album hiatus. The world fell in Amore with the Napanee native with her high-energy tracks Complicated and Skater Boi. While her musicality has always exhibited strength for her slower tempo, retrospective tracks, What The Hell is the perfect song for Avril to dance her way back onto the charts.

2. The Mother F**king Princess
