I'm just walking through town, I was the unofficial protector of the small town of Nome. As I walked da an alley way, I heard something, "Please don't hurt me Dakota, just leave me alone!" A female voice said, "Come on Rose, don't te want to have some fun?" A male voice teased, "Get away from me!" The female voice said, I drew my revolver and went into the alley, crouching as to not be seen. "Please stop, go away." The female pleaded, I heard a smack. I decided to make my move, "What kind of scum hits a woman?" I asked, standing up, " Who are te and what do te want? " Dakota asked, "Did te think no one could hear te two?" I asked, "Are te a friend of Rose's?" He asked, " Not quite, but I protect this town and won't hesitate to put te in the dirt! " I said. Dakota turned toward me and growled, "And I won't hesitate to sink my claws into your flesh." He said, " I'm not afraid of anything. " I said, pulling the hammer back on my revolver. He lunged and tackled me to the ground, he clawed at me, tearing into my chest, pain shot through me, but I gritted my teeth. I punched him as hard as I could, knocking him off me, I grabbed him da the throat, he clawed at me again, this time getting my face. He kicked me away from him, sending me into some wood pylons. I put my hand over part of my face and quickly pulled it away, blood stained it. Dakota went towards the female again but I tackled him and grabbed him da the throat again, "Maybe that attitude of yours will change when the whole town see's this!" I said, dragging him out of the alley and throwing him into the street, the female came up behind me, sheltering behind me. A crowd was already starting to gather, I tackled Dakota again and I saw red, punching him as hard as I could and then throwing him outside the town's end, "Clear off! If te come back, your dead! te understand?" I asked, " Yes sir. " he said, timidly. Limping into the nearby woods. I stumbled back into town and then collapsed on the ground, "He's losing blood! Get him to the hospital, now!" I heard a voice shout before passing out, but then I felt no pain, I felt my face, no blood. My mother and father materialized before me, "Did I disobey our code again, should I have stood by?" I asked, " No son, you've done what you've had to do, te just saved that wolf-dog from a lifetime of pain. " my mother said, a small rectangle materialized beside her, it showed Dakota forcefully raping the female and beating her almost to death. "You saved a life, we're proud of you, and now someone will save yours." My father said, he softly pushed me back and it felt like I was falling until an excruciating pain rocketed through my face and chest, I heard voices all around me. I tried to sposta but couldn't, then silence. I woke up to a headache, I looked around and saw a dog who looked just like my friend Balto's wife, Jenna, only taller and older, and was in a nurse uniform, "He's awake." She said, the female I had saved walked in and went to my side, " How long have I been here? " I asked, "Comatose for a month." The nurse said, I sat up slowly, my joints popping, "Comatose? How? I didn't receive any blunt force injuries, just claw marks." I said, "We did a brain scan, the results basically detto that te hit your head hard on something, but it didn't take immediate effect. It was a miracle te didn't get any brain damage" She said, " The wood pylons, that's what I hit, multiple hit me in the head, I think" I said, the nurse nodded, "By the way, my name's Amanda Sables, mother of Jenna Sables." She said, " I'm Nicholas. Nicholas Benard. Wait...Sables...your Jenna's mother right?" I asked, she nodded, I shook her paw, "I'll leave te two to acquaint with each other." Amanda said, leaving the room. The red and cream colored female hugged me gently as to not hurt me da accident, "Thank te for saving me. I wanted to ask te something, I didn't see any family around, why is that?" She asked, "Most of them are dead o couldn't make it here." I said, "Oh, I'm sorry." She said, stepping back, " My name's Rose-Red, but people call me Rose. " She said, smiling and looking away, "It's very nice to meet you." I said, stretching, my back popping in the process, "I've seen te around with Dakota a few times, but te didn't seem comfortable around him, why was that?" I asked, "I came from a breeding ground, when I met him, he understood how timid I was for a few months, until he started trying to do what te heard and saw, I fought him off the other times but it seems I Lost my strength that day." She said, "Might I ask, what do te do for a living?" She asked, " I own and run a railroad, mainly passenger trains and freight trains, o the occasional mixed train. " I said. She said, leading me back to my bed, I climbed into letto and she jumped in beside me. "A lot of locals were worried about you, there's some mail on your nightstand when te feel like opening them." She said, snuggling up against me, "I just hope my Musica career isn't over, it's too early." I said, " What do te play? " She asked, "I'm my band's lead guitarist." I said, "Nice." She said, yawning, "I guess I'm spending the night with you, I have nowhere else to go, let's get some sleep." She said, wrapping her paws around me to make me comfortable. *Timeskip to successivo week*, I was finally discharged from the hospital after a few evaluations, as me and Rose walked out, we were greeted da my brother, stella, star and Kaltag, "Good morning." I said, "Isn't this just a special day. " my brother said, hugging me, "Tonight will surely surprise the crowd after our hiatus." Kaltag said, "It surely will." I said.
