The actual burning question: What is Patterson’s real name?!

Tasked with decoding Jane’s tattoos, Patterson (Ashley Johnson) has been the puzzle wizard of the series, masterfully decrypting the intricate clues that send the FBI on its next mission. But Patterson herself is a bit of a mystery given that viewers don’t actually know her name. Is Patterson her first name? Her last name? A nickname?

Seriously, everyone else has a full name and some semblance of a backstory: Kurt Weller, Tasha Zapata, Edgar Reade. Even Jane Doe was revealed to be Taylor Shaw!

finally reveal Patterson’s name this season? “No plans as of yet,” executive producer Martin Gero tells EW. But there is some good news! “Keep an eye on episode 14 — there might be a little something there, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up. There’s at least a wink to the people that want it.”
