libri have definitely taken on a new meaning in the past few years. Before, libri were a way to past time, something to take your mind off your busy and chaotic life. Now, we can see those classic stories come to life on the big screen. There are many Film which were based on books, most of them very good. But I think a lot of us rabid readers can agree that sometimes, it’s just better to leave the story in the pages of a book. First of all, it’s very hard to create a film that’s just as good as the book. libri have so much fun detail and information on what the characters are thinking. The possibilities are endless and there are almost no limits. For example, an autore can write as many pages as they want, while director’s have to watch their movie length. Secondly, a director will never be able to make every reader happy. Everyone has a different image in their head of what each fictional character will look like. Combined with the author’s descrizione and their own imagination, readers will carry that picture with them throughout the book. So, it’s not really the director o actors fault when the guy playing your preferito fictional hero doesn’t look the way te thought he would. Take Harry Potter for example, I’m sure many people had a different picture in their heads then what Harry looked like in the movie. But, as I detto before, te can’t make everyone happy. Last but not least, the length, which I mentioned earlier. If you’re excited because your preferito 543 paged book is getting made into a movie, try to expect a little disappointment. Directors can’t make a 4-hour-long movie. The audience would be falling asleep and it’s just too hard to do. This is why everyone tries their hardest to make the adaptation of the book as a like as possible. The autore has to agree to everything before it’s set in stone. Which is probably a very good thing. Here’s a brief lista of Film which have been based on books: Atonement, Beowulf, Charlie Wilson’s War, Stardust, The Golden Compass, Casino Royale, The Devil Wears Prada…and many more. Personally, I like libri being made into movies, I just don’t like it when they completely change the storyline and the plot. Like Ella Enchanted, that was one of my preferito libri and when I heard it was going to be a movie, I was ecstatic. But when I saw it, I was very disappointed. They changed so much; I was surprised the autore agreed to everything. But I guess that’s just the way things are. Sometimes te like the way the movie turns out and sometimes te don’t.

My name is Chloe Saunders and my life will never be the same again.

All I wanted was to make friends, meet boys, and keep on being ordinary. I don't even know what that means anymore. It all started on the giorno that I saw my first ghost—and the ghost saw me.

Now there are ghosts everywhere and they won't leave me alone. To superiore, in alto it all off, I somehow got myself locked up in Lyle House, a "special home" for troubled teens. Yet the home isn't what it seems. Don't tell anyone, but I think there might be più to my housemates than meets the eye. The domanda is, whose side are they on? It's up to me to figure out the dangerous secrets behind Lyle House . . . before its skeletons come back to haunt me.

Advance Readers' Copies -- one of the many benefits of working at a bookstore. For those who might not know what that phrase refers to though, it means I (and other booksellers) are invited, even encouraged, to read advance copies of libri before they are officially released to the public. In this world of thousands upon thousands of books, publishers often send out a free copy in hopes that a particularly enthusiastic recipient will personally promote the work to his o her customers, and thus increase sales exponentally.

Here are a few libri that I have read in galley form (another phrase...
