Breast Cancer Awareness Domanda

how come people only care about breast cancer?

I am sorry if i am offending somebody but everyone donates to breast cancer just because its the most common in women. noone cares about all the other cancers. I have had Leukemia since the age of 3 and have gone through a LOT. and there's noone I can even talk to about it. Heck, there's not even a club on here for Leukemia. Breast cancer isn't the only disease that needs help. Why can't te all donate to ALL cancers and other diseases such as diabetes? I just don't understand it at all. Please comment, i wanna hear the other sides to my thoughts. Thanks for Leggere this and Happy Holidays

okay well a lot of people in my family have breast cancer so it is something that i am always trying to help out with and donate. but one of my old Friends had lukemia and we supported him the entire way. so...but yea i do see how te say that most people only care about breast cancer. in my opinion they should have an organization that te can donate to that will go out to all diseases and cancers, etc. if there are people who only donate to breast cancer, it is because either they have somebody in their life that is effected da it o they arent very aware of the other sicknesses. maybe te could make a club for lukemia. i would very gladly join. well thats my opinion and keep fighting

I feel breast cancer has gotten so much attention in large part due to the Susan G Koman Foundation. One person no matter what they are trying to raise awareness for CAN make a difference if they have the determination and drive to have their voice heard. As a 6 anno breast cancer survivor I Amore to see rosa ribbons, it gives me hope my daughter wont be diagonsed with cancer before age 40 like I was. I had a good friend die of ovarian cancer and I wear a alzavola, teal ribbon for her still. Someone I worked with Lost her fiance to pancratic cancer...I still wear the purple ribbon band from his fund raiser. All cancer should be wiped out if we can just get the funding and support. Chemo and radiation are no picnic, but I know what I went through was easier than the treatments my grandmother had 25 to 30 years ago...those improvements are made thru research which is possible from funding raised da awareness. (btw I believe leukemia awarness is a green o arancia, arancio ribbon...wear it with pride, we are all in this fight together!)

I do not blame o judge you. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and at times it does seem as though certain things get più attention than others. God sees and cares about ALL types of ANY disease. That is a main reason why I made this page: link

I am 24 and was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer and it's pretty hard sometimes to find groups for that as well. But they're out there. Good luck to te and all who have been stricken with cancer. te must keep the faith...

It does seem like breast cancer is what most people care about. My dad has a cuore disease that literly no one knows about unless they know someone who has it. And the doctors are pretty much expermenting on him because they don't know what to do. no one has ever heard of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy(HCM) and if no one has ever heard of it how/why should they donate money to the cause. (back to the question) I think più people care about breast cancer because it is più common. I live in a city with about 2,800 people in it and there are roughly 1,500 breast cancer survivors o women going through it at moment.

I am so sorry to hear that te have Leukemia. I hope te have been cancer free for a while and that te stay that way. I have a friend who had tumors in both of his arms. I know how hard it is for him, and he has only know about his tumors for 4 years and I'm sure te are older than 7 so I can't even imagine what it has been like for te and your family

I understand how te feel. September is Prostate Cancer awareness mese as well as Children's Cancer awareness mese and most people don't even know that. più men actually are diagnosed and die from prostate cancer than women are from breast cancer and yet everything still always seems focused around women. This past anno has been better with the awareness of the cancers but neither are on the same level. The best thing anyone can do is use their voice to start conversations and create the awareness themselves. I Lost my Father to prostate cancer 3 years fa and I wear my blue ribbon in memory of him. I am also not shy to ask men and women if they are educated about the disease. Most people are shocked when they find out what prostrate cancer does to a man's body. te have to be your own fuoco starter to the education, awareness and support to whatever cause is important to you!! Best of luck and keep kicking leukemia's butt and get out there and create awareness!!!

I understand your frustration, I was born with Retinoblastoma and find it frustrating how every October everybody remembers and "cares" about cancer (only one type) then goes back to not paying attention to it the rest of the year. Breast cancer is a terrible disease that nobody should have to suffer through, but it's not the only one nor is it the most deadly o most common. There are calendars that depict what diseases correlate to each month. We need to inform people of these diseases and hopefully one giorno every mese will be treated like BCAM.
