Sam, Dean and Meg watched the cops take Cas away, who went with them willingly. Too willingly. As soon as the door shut behind them, Dean turned to Meg.
“You called the cops?” he exclaimed. “Have te Lost your mind?”
“No” Meg shrugged. “Cas is a serial killer. He needs to be put behind bars. I made the right call, no pun intended”
Dean conjured his phone and dialed a number.
‘The number you’re trying to reach is currently unavailable’
“Damn it” Dean cursed.
“What?” Sam asked.
“I’m trying to reach that female inspector” Dean explained.
“Who? Inspector Roberts?” Meg guessed. “She’s dead. Cas shot her. I was supposed to do it, but I couldn’t”
“You couldn’t? Because Cas told me te didn’t hesitate to kill Heather” Dean snapped.
“That was different. I Lost control. Cas was banging that slut” Meg defended herself.
“So te were jealous. Is that why te called the cops? Because that can be the only reasonable explanation as to why te would be so stupid to turn him in” Dean detto angry.
“I don’t get it. Why is it such a bad thing that he’s locked up? He’s a killer” Meg said.
Dean turned to Sam for support, but he just pulled his shoulders.
“Prison is crowded with criminals. Thiefs, murderers, rapists” Dean continued passionately.
“Yeah, that’s why it’s called prison” Meg replied obvious. “Cas will fit right in”
Dean shook his head heavy. “No. He won’t last a day” He looked from Sam to Meg and back. “You two can spend your time gloating, but I’ll do what has to be done”
He turned around, grabbed the keys on his way to the door and walked out.

Cas beached on the street, far away from Rufus’ cabin. He wasn’t sure how to feel. He was angry, because Dean wouldn’t listen to him. Dean always thought he knew everything better. He was disappointed, because Dean had no faith in him at all.
He was so up in thought that he didn’t hear his name. But maybe that was because she didn’t use his real name.
“Emmanuel!”
Someone grabbed his arm and forced him to turn around. He looked at the woman. She looked familiar.
“Didn’t te hear me?” the woman asked. Cas stared at her. “Don’t te recognize me? It’s me, Daphne, your wife?”
Cas widened his eyes as he remembered her.
“Daphne” he detto breathless. “How did te find me? What are te doing here?”
“Well, I hired a detective, I needed to find you” Daphne said. She searched in her pockets and conjured a big brown envelope. “I need te to sign these”
“What is it?” Cas frowned.
“A petition for annulment” Daphne answered.

Meg opened the door of a motel room and helped Cas inside. She guided him to the single letto and put him down. She gently pushed him down and he opened his eyes a little. She walked to the bathroom and dampened a towel.
She walked back into the room and sank down on the bed. Unlike Meg’s Cas’ clothes hadn’t been restored. Meg opened the ruined and bloodstained hospital camicia and dabbed his wounds with the towel.
Cas groaned from pain.
“You don’t have to do this” he detto weak. “I will heal eventually”
“I know” Meg detto absent-minded. She stared at Cas’ body. Even with all the cuts he still looked…jumpable.
“But thanks for the gesture” Cas detto with a weak smile.
Meg continued nursing his injuries. “You know” she said. “If I was still human, I’d fall for you”
Cas gave her another weak smile, before he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

“It was me” Meg said. Sam had freed her from her prison and now she was going to free Cas of his. She had to promise Sam she wouldn’t try to get out until they were far gone. Because as soon as soon as Cas was out they were going to hit the road an drive as far away as possible.
“I killed Jack and I killed Paul Morgan. Cas has nothing to do with it. I was trying to protect him. Jack was asking too many domande and Paul knew too much already. There were people trying to hurt Cas and I tried to give him a low profile. But it didn’t really work out. I don’t want a lawyer. I don’t want a trial. Just give me the maximum penalty and I’ll accept it”
Isabel stared at her, a little puzzled, but also thrilled. She got Jack and Paul’s killer. Now no one would domanda her competence as an inspector again. She cuffed Meg’s hand and brought her to a cell.
