Chapter One: I Trust You

Hermione lay still and silent, staring wide eyed at the case of pills in front of her. It had been two weeks since it happened, but she remembered it like it had happened only moments ago. The night sky outside her window was beautiful, the sky filled with stars, and a moon so bright it was like a midnight sun. All she saw was darkness. She slowly rose from her bed, and wiped her eyes and took in a deep sigh. She then strode over to her scrivania, reception and took out her quill and bottle of ink, along with a piece of parchment paper, and began to write a letter to her dear friend Ronald Weasley.

Dear Ron, She wrote,

How has your summer been? I miss you, alot! I haven't heard from te in a while. Have te heard from Harry? Well, things over here are great! She lied, I've been having a good vacation, but I miss school and te and Harry so much! My mum and dad are doing great as well, they took off a week fa to visit my grandparents over in Ireland, and they won't be back until after I've already left for school. Of course my mum was più emotional then ever when she left, she cried for over ten minutes! She felt so horrid about leaving me ahead of time, without seeing me off to school I mean. But besides that she is doing fine, happy as ever. My dads doing good as well, did I mention that? Well, how is your mother? And te dad? Tell them I say hi. And Ginny as well, will you? I am really looking inoltrare, avanti to school; it feels like I haven't been there for so long! Anyways, I miss te and I'll see te soon!

Amore Always,

Hermione G.

P.S. Please write me back, te never do.

Hermione then set the quill down and neatly folded the letter and slid it into an envelope and sealed it shut, Scrivere Ron's name on the front of it. She then opened up her scrivania, reception drawers again and set her bottle of ink and quill back in their proper places. Afterwards she gave the letter to her owl and told it to give the letter to Ron as quickly as possible. Hermione then took in another relaxing deep breath and leaned back in her chair, for school started a week from tomorrow, and she would be away from the place she now feared the most.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hermione?" Ron called from down the hall as Hermione was feet from the Great Hall, "Hermione, I need to ask te something..." He detto softly as he approached her.

"Yes?" Hermione responded in an almost annoyed tone.

"Hermione... you, te don't seem yourself this year. te seem more, I don't know... just not you, please talk to me. In the letter te wrote me te sounded fine, I'll admit, I was a little suspicious, with how many time te detto te missed me. But now that I see you, te seem so sad all the time. What's wrong?" Ron asked sympathetically as he placed his hand on her shoulder.

She shrugged it off, and looked away.

"Hermione please, I'm your friend. Just talk to me." He pushed.

"Look Ron, there is nothing to talk about I am fine. So please stop worrying about me, alright?" She moaned in frustration.

"I know te Hermione, and te are not fine." He continued.

"Ronald, te didn't even right me back, te don't ever write me back. How did I know te even read it? For al I know te tossed it aside. Look, just go eat with Harry, I'll catch up with te in a little while, alright?" She pleaded with her arms crossed.

Ron was hesitant, but he respected her, "Yeah, right. See te later then." He detto as he looked down, and then walked into the Great Hall vanishing from sight.

Hermione stood there for a few più minutes, until she finally decided to head back to the common room.

She walked slower then usual down the hallways, taking più notice to all the different paintings on the walls. She stopped a few times when she saw one that caught her eye, but continued walking after a minuto o so. She thought silently to herself as she walked threw the hallways, until she decided against going back to her common room. She turned away from the entrance of the common room, and headed up the stairs. She was walking toward an abandon room that she came across during secondo year, knowing that room was never occupied; she found it a good place to be when she needed to be da herself.

She quietly opened the door and walked inside shutting the door behind her, and walked over to the wide window in the corner and sat down on the large sill. She imagined this room must have once been a sort of Ball Room o something. It was large enough and defiantly elegant enough for it anyways. She looked down at the Black Lake, and tears slowly danced down her cold pale cheeks.

She heard a shifting motion not five feet from her and she jumped.

"I'm sorry," The mysterious figure from the darkness detto slowly, "I've just come here to think... I didn't mean to startle you." Cedric Diggory detto as he appeared in the light of the moon, smiling sweetly.

"No, it's fine." Hermione smiled back softly with tears, "I'll just go..." She responded as she began to stand.

"Wait..." Cedric detto as he sat successivo to her with a look of worry and concern in his expression, "Are te alright? I know that we have never really spoken before, but, is there anything I can do?" He detto as he noticed her tears.

"What? No, no... I'm, I'm fine... really!" She laughed quietly, and moments later her laughs turned into sobs.

Cedric not knowing what to do simply wrapped his hand around hers and gently squeezed it in comfort, "Look, I'm really not good at this... I'm..." Cedric panicked, not knowing how to comfort a near stranger.

"Just give... me... a min... ute." Hermione detto between sobs.

Cedric nodded and waited patiently, slowly letting go of her hand.

Several minuti passed before Hermione was able to control herself. She wiped her eyes and looked over at him with a small smile, not knowing what to say.

"If te don't want to talk about it..." Cedric began but was immediately interrupted.

"No, I don't. I want to mostra you. We really don't know anything about each other, but for some strange and unexplained reason I feel completely and totally sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza and comfortable with you, and I... I trust you, più then I have ever trusted anyone before." Hermione then reached into her bag and pulled out an envelope that had been fiercely torn open, and handed it to Cedric with a serious, and trusting look.

He took the letter but didn't take his eyes off of her for the successivo several seconds.

My Dear Hermione, He began to read with intense interest,

I'm sorry that I had to leave for Ireland so soon after our time together. I wish that I cold have stayed for more, but te know how much your grandparents wanted to see your mother and me. But I promise, when te come back for Natale I will give te more. I'm sorry that I had to hit te so hard, te know I only did it because te hurt my feelings. te know better then that, don't you? But f te ever, ever fight me like that, o say no again... te will be in a world of hurt. But don't freight my darling; it is for your own good. I'm looking inoltrare, avanti to seeing te again.

Amore Forever,

Your Old Man

P.S. Make sure to bring those black and red bra and panties when te come home, I saw them in your drawer one day, and I imagined te in them and I had to have some alone time with myself... te will be so sexy for me, wont te my pet?

Cedric's hand balled up into a tight fist and the letter crinkled in his hand. His eyes were wide open and a look of anger and rage surged across his face. He gave himself a few minuti to calm himself. He then set the letter down and looked over at Hermione, never leaving her face, which was welling up it tears once more.
