Fight For This Love, which was released last Sunday, sold over 292,000 copies and is the fastest selling single – excluding charity and reality TV winner’s singles – since 2001. Cheryl knocked Alexandra Burke’s ‘Bad Boys’ from the number one spot.
OCC managing director Martin Talbot detto earlier in the week that Cole’s “amazing” first-day sales put her in “pole position to superiore, in alto the official singles chart on Sunday”.
“She is likely to set the sales standard da which everyone will be judged for the rest of the anno in the run-up to Christmas,” he added.
Go Cheryl!
