When Julie Plec tweeted that she couldn't decide what she liked best about 3x08, she didn't mention DE specifically, but her tantalising reference to 'the last scene' caused many eagle-eyed DE fan to speculate that it could indeed be Delena. Oh Julie, how te Amore to tease us. te knew it was another epic Delena moment to savour and leave us giddy. I know in your cuore of hearts te Amore DE too.
Doesn't it seem like Delena get più and più awesome with every episode? Just when te think they couldn't get any più amazing, we get another scene that surprises us.
"She loves blindly and recklessly, even if it consumes her."
I think Elena could almost be describing herself here. This mostra loves parallels after all. But I don't think it covers how she loves Stefan for a number of reasons. OK, her Amore for Stefan has been 'blind', but the words 'reckless' and all-consuming isn't very apt for SE. SE's Amore has been the steadfast type, not passionate, wild, o with total abandon. It just doesn't describe the kind of relationship SE have. I think if they'd been più passionate, their fandom would have numbers to equal ours. The fact that they don't says that SE aren't hugely gripping o exciting to watch to the majority of the show's audience.
There seems to be an imbalance in SE's love. Some fan noticed it last season, when Stefan apparantly lacked the temerity to keep Elena alive. If Stefan had been equally passive towards Damon's imminent death sentence in 2x22, it would have been typical of his character, but the fact that he put himself in such danger, and went to such crazy lengths to save his brother showed how far Stefan was willing to go for someone he couldn't orso to lose. Even Elena acknowledges outloud that she won't be the one to save Stefan, and that when he gets through this, it won't be because of her. So it seems to me that Elena's Amore for Stefan isn't fully reciprocated. And a Amore can't be reckless and all-consuming if its one-sided.
If there's a parallel between what Elena says about Rebekah and herself, then I think there's a good chance it describes how Elena will Amore Damon in the future - recklessly, even if it consumes her.
I Amore how comfortable Elena is with Damon now. I thought it was funny that Damon ignores her hints at wanting to go to bed, and her tugging at the bedclothes. I loved that instead of trying to push him off the letto as she might have done once, o griping at him to leave, she gets into letto and turns off the light, and after they talk, she closes her eyes and goes to sleep as if she's perfectly happy to let him stay there beside her for the whole night. She trusts him, and she likes having him around. If she didn't want him to be there, she would have made it clear she wanted him to go. The fact that she didn't speaks volumes about how far their relationship has come. I Amore how slowly but surely Delena are being built up. No matter what any sad, embittered Delena-hating viewer might say, they are not progressing too fast. I know some of te were disappointed they didn't kiss, but they will. This was another step in that direction. DE deserves to be endgame. They've had the biggest, most epic journey. They've had the most slow-burning build-up. They've evolved and developed the most. They bring out the best in eachother, but even when they've seen each ther at their worst, they've learned from it, forgiven and moved on, and become stronger for it. They are THE ship of the TVD that other fandoms wish they could be, and they DESERVE to be endgame.

Julie plec has detto " Sometime in this season Elena Will Wake smiling back at a shirtless Damon in her bed." Kevin Williamson Has also Qouted " well, see after we shot the baciare scene we thought we should have Elena and Damon confront Damon alone and they end up doing something she regrets." Julie Plec has not announce hat episode this will be in but the script has been written but waiting to be shot on camera. Ian writes in his face-book account " When I heard about this scene I as saying Wow it has been a while since I did Sex Scene and For Damon and Elena this is something I been expecting for a while .I mean it's in the Damn book.
