Today's Anime i will be reviewing is Death Note. I think because most of us here have seen it i won't bother explaining the plot and go right into my personal thoughts, be warned spoilers are here and there.
Plot: Death Note's plot is what makes it amazing and iconic. It is about a teen who has the power to kill, and is caught in a cat and topo, mouse chase with a detective. The dialogue is very wonderfully written and it constantly amazed me ( i'm not really a huge complimenter so that's saying something). Some say that after episode 25 it gets boring without our main detective, but i disagree. The two new detectives Near and Mello were yes not as good as L but not as bad as most fan say they are. complessivamente, generale the plot was amazing, and the ending was one of my preferito parts. It really domande your morals and requires a lot of brain work but that's what kept me so interested
Characters: It is detto that no piece of fiction can survive long without a good cast of characters and this true. Death Note's characters are very... different from most anime's. There not exactly the type te learn much about and are usually very self oriented. At first i saw this as a flaw but then i realized it was a pro. The character's mostra how human's have flaws and are easily corrupted. Light shows what power can do to a person, no matter how good there intention are. L is the most likable because of his funny and quirky personality, if te ask me he's the real stella, star of this anime. Misa is hated because of her devotion to Light and naive-ness but i couldn't help but feel sorry for her especially in the last episode when she committed suicide.
All in all not a bad cast of characters they are certainly different from the run of the mill.
Music: Ost ( soundtrack) wise Death Note was good. It's mostly suspenseful Musica o Musica that plays at a special rhythm.
Openings: The first opening "The World" da Nightmare was very well done. It perfectly captured the vision and intentions of Light i think the lyrics might have been specially written for the show. The secondo opening "Hey what's up people" da Maximum hormone was less then flattering with it making no sens and screaming but that's the beauty of it. It showed how da that point Light was insane. I however prefer the first opening because it's such a good song and fit perfectly.
Endings: I thought the first ending "Alumina" also da Nightmare was very fitting. The lyrics are also Light, but a even darker side of him. The secondo ending i honestly only saw once and it was just Light walking around. I'll ave to watch it again and look at the translation to see what i think.
Animation: In most anime's the art style is pretty basic. This show's is anything but. the characters are drawn realistically and look like real human's. The shingami's look creepy and frightening. I was all around extremely happy with the animazione style and it's Gothic look.
Flaws: As i mentioned before one of the flaws i thought was with the characters. They don't get much back story/ development. Example: Maybe Light could have had più of a reason for wanting to kill criminals, and he would be easier to sympathize with. Like i detto though this didn't bother me that much after a while.
I also have to give special props to the dub of this. Brad Swaile ( Light) was amazing and was really into this role. It showed especially in the last episode when he dd that laugh and the "i am Kira" monologue i literally was mind blown i'm sure the Japanese version is just as incredible though . It was a very good dub for Viza Media because usually there dubs are average, but this one was a special case.
complessivamente, generale i thought this was a great Anime and the 37 episode length was just right. I think i'll give it a 10/10. It really had a huge impact on me.

When hearing that Misa jumped off a building and commiting Suicide I could not believe she has done it . Well, many people have been asking about the proof so, if te look at Death Note chapter 110 it revealed that she died at 2011 during Valentines giorno . After Rem killed L and Matsuda killed Light Misa couldn't take life anymore and fell of the edge of a building and commited suicide . I guess that was the finale of Death Note everyone dies . And everyone considered Light as a "God" and his thoughts and his efforts to make everyone think he is a god were all correct due to his right timing and his right words made everything he has worked on a successful .
